Tigers of India - Now only 1411 left.
Indian Tigers in the Wildlife : is the world’s most beautiful animals. Tigers are known for their strength and power. They are capable of bringing down and dragging animals more than 10 times weight. A tiger weighs 130 to 180 Kgs.They eat about 5 kg of meat in one and can consume about 30 kg a day. One kill they use for 3 to 4 days They usually do not kill another animal before finishing of his previous hunt. There lifespan is about 15 -20 years. The mates stay together for a period of 10 days. The pregnancy period is a short one of 105 days. In one birth there will be 3 - 6 cubs.
Tigers are normal y seen in India, Siberia and South East Asia.
Tigers have a reputation as man-eaters. Rarely only tiger attacks people. In this case old or injured tigers are the culprits because they cannot do a normal hunting for eating.
Now Tiger faces extinction. In 20th century alone three sub species of tigers have been gone to extinction. At present estimate at least one tiger is getting killed in the forest. Only 50 Siberian tigers left. The primary threat to the tiger is the poaching of it’s bones for Chinese medicines.
Last year, 60 deaths were recorded. Now, merely 3,500 big cats are left in the wild of which 1,411 are in India. Urbaisation and mining are anoher big trea for this animal.
