There are two types of SEO techniques. White Hat SEO and Black Hat SEO, white hat seo is the ethical side of optimization and the other is the contradiction. They both claim to be effective in terms of traffic and ranking boost for websites.


The Onpage SEO

To let you gain more knowledge about SEO or search engine optimization you must first know what is Onpage SEO. The On Page SEO is the basics of search engine optimization which are the tags, keyword density and the h1, h2 and h3 titles on your page. Keyword density is the certain percentage of the appearance of your main keyword in your article. The keyword density should just be around 1 to 2 percent of the entire article. Tags are also relevant and you should keep that in your mind. Relevant tags are important depending on the points that you are trying to make. Try to keep your tags up to your niche.


The Offpage SEO

Offpage SEO is basically creating backlinks to your site. Creating backlinks with your major keyword is everything you need to do. You must remember though that in creating backlinks the keyword must be related to the site you are posting to. For example if you are writing about candies you should get a backlink that is about candies and not about doughnuts.

You should get backlinks from sites that have a higher page rank. The trick is the higher the page rank of a site that greater value it will give to your site. A page rank 4 site will have a value of a thousand backlinks to a site with a page rank of 0.
