Spyware Virus Protection Against Identity Theft

Spyware virus protection against identity theft - read on!  The stats are mind blowing!

A recent article by AHN (All Headline News) reports that one in SIX personal computers is infected with spyware or related malware. This is much greater than the previously reported 1 in 10 figure by other news agencies.

“Spyware and malware programs are emerging at rates of 5,000 to 10,000 per day and as many as one in six PCs may be infected, according to a recent study made by U.K. security vendor Prevx of 300,000 personal computers.”

Spyware isn’t just an annoyance anymore. These malware programs have become much more advanced, capable of doing real damage not only to your computer, but to your personal information. Because of these alarming figures, it is becoming more and more important to have some sort of spyware protection system in your PC.

The most recent malware attack on a large scale involved the employment search site Monster.com in late August. Identity thieves made off with the personal information of more than a million people logging on to the site.

Spyware protection is becoming JUST AS IMPORTANT as virus protection. Spyware is actually proving itself to be even more damaging than viruses to the average private PC user. If this information doesn’t alarm you, it might be time to check your pulse!
