How To Effectively Crate Train Your Dog by Michael Colucci

Using a crate to train your dog is one of the best methods available. Crate training works well because it ties in with the natural instincts of your dog. By using this method of training you will have a clean home and a dog which behaves properly. The most important thing to understand about crate training is that a dog will want to avoid urinating in the place where it sleeps. It will see the crate as being its home.

The first thing you want to do when crate training your dog is to use a consistent schedule. This will allow the dog to relieve itself in the righ place instead of a place where you don't want them to. It is also important to reward the dog when they behave properly, but not get angry when they don't do what you want. It takes time for a dog to learn, and you will need to have patience when trying to train them. When you are not at home, you will want to keep your dog in a closed off space.

The space should have a bed, clean water, and toys so that the dog doesn't become lonely or aggravated. Crate training works differently than just confining a dog to a certain room. When you use crate training you will want to place the dog within the crate when you are not watching him. While this may sound abusive at first, it is important to remember that dogs naturally like being in confined spaces. They are den animals. The dog will begin to think of the crate as being his home, and will not relieve himself there.

After the dog has been in the crate for a while, you will want to take them to the location where it is allowed to relieve itself. Once it does, reward him with a treat or praises. You want the dog to associate relieving itself in the right place with rewards. This will give it an incentive to continue behaving properly. Don't allow the dog to stay in the crate for a long time, as it will be forced to relieve itself in the crate and this is something that neither of you want. It could will reverse all the training you've given the dog.

The dog should only be put in the crate while you're present. The dog should be allowed to go to the rest room every 40 minutes, accept at night. The dog should be placed on a leash when you take him out. Give him about three to five minutes to finish. If the dog doesn't relieve itself, you should quickly take him back to the crate. If the dog does relieve itself, rewared him with treats or a walk.

Who Are The Underminers? by Margaret Paul, Ph. D.

How many of you had the experience growing up of being told in various ways to limit yourselves from being all you can be? The movie “The Incredibles” is a wonderful metaphor for this. In this movie, the superheroes – the people with extraordinary powers – are restricted from using their powers.

When I was growing up, I was not supported in being all I could be. “Boys don’t like smart girls,” “People will be jealous of you.” I learned to hide good grades and talents, for fear others would be threatened. If I wanted to “fit in,” I needed to be like everyone else. Being extraordinary was considered “weird.”

In the movie, the superheroes are finally allowed to use their powers because they are needed to save the planet. This, too, is a metaphor. We are each extraordinary in our own ways, and this planet needs each of us to fully express our gifts and talents. We need extraordinary people to step up to the plate to guide us away from fear, greed and manipulation and into caring, compassion, and personal responsibility. Fortunately, many more young people today are encouraged to be all they can be.

At the end of the movie, a horrible monster arises from the earth, saying something like, “We are the underminers. We undermine happiness, peace and joy. We are always beneath you.”

Who are the underminers?

Underminers are both within and without.

Outer underminers are those people who do not have your highest good at heart. They are the people who want to use you, blame you, manipulate and control you, and try to limit you. They are the people who are threatened by you being all you can be. They are the people who want you to care-take them rather than take responsibility for yourself. These people can be family, friends, or co-workers – anyone in your life who does not support you in being all you can be. It is sad and lonely when the people who say they care about you, instead do all they can to control and limit you.

However, as adults it is the inner underminers who cause the most damage. The inner underminers are the wounded parts of ourselves that hold our limiting beliefs – the lies we learned about ourselves, others, and God. These underminers shout lies to us that cause our fears and anxieties and keep us from fully manifesting all that we are.

Paul is a very competent man, yet every time he gets a new idea of something he wants to do with his work and his life, his underminer says, “You can’t do it. You will fail.” His underminer keeps him immobilized and “safe.”

Julia is a talented writer, yet has never submitted her writing for publication. Whenever she starts to move toward submitting her writing, her underminer shouts, “No one will listen to you. No one wants to read what you write.”

For a long time, Joanna has wanted to leave her job and go back to school for further training. Yet whenever she contemplates this, her underminer sneaks in with the lie that stops her every time: “If you leave your job, you will never find another one. God will not support you in doing what you want to do.”

Robert is unhappy in his relationship. His girlfriend, Marian, just wants to be taken care of. She is often very angry at Robert when he wants to spend time with friends or even time alone, and does not support him in what brings him joy. She is an underminer, yet it is his inner underminer that keeps him from leaving. “You will end up alone and be more miserable than you are now.”

Suzanne was the “smart one” in her family, while her sister was the “pretty one.” Her parents undermined her by telling her over and over that she needed to learn to take care of herself because no man would want her. Now, a successful and attractive woman, Suzanne’s underminer constantly tells her, “You will always be alone. You are not meant to have a relationship.” Because of her underminer, Suzanne approaches relationships with a chip on her shoulder, creating the rejection she is hoping to avoid.

“You can’t.” “You will fail.” “You are inadequate.” “Who do you think you are?” “You will end up alone.” “You are ugly.” “You are alone – God does not exist.” “Spirit will not support you because you are not good enough.”

The underminer – undermining your happiness, peace and joy. Why not be a superhero and stop listening to the underminer?

Anti Wrinkle Cream by rosario

Although wrinkles can be signs of experience and wisdom, most people would rather not have them
.
However, skin ages all over the body, but much more so where there has been sun exposure. Changes brought on by sun damage include 'dryness', sagginess, skin growths and wrinkles. These are found primarily on the parts of the body where sun exposure is greatest. These areas especially include the face, neck, the backs of the hands, and the tops of the forearms.

But, why do wrinkles appear? How does our skin get old?

As a person ages the epidermal cells become thinner and less sticky. The thinner cells make the skin look noticeably thinner. The decreased stickiness of the cells decreases the effectiveness of the barrier function allowing moisture to be released instead of being kept in the skin. This causes dryness.

The number of epidermal cells decreases by 10% per decade and they divide more slowly as we age making the skin less able to repair itself quickly. The effects of aging, on the dermal layer are significant. With the years, not only the dermal layer gets thinner, also less collagen is produced and the elastin fibers that provide elasticity wear out. These changes in the scaffolding of the skin cause the skin to wrinkle and sag.

In the subcutaneous layer, the fat cells get smaller with age. This leads to more noticeable wrinkles and sagging, as the fat cells cannot 'fill in' the damage from the other layers.
There are also some factors that promote wrinkles:

• Smoking
• Skin type (people with light-colored skin and blue eyes are more susceptible to sun damage)
• Heredity (some families wrinkle more)
• Hairstyle (depending on how much skin is covered by hair and protected from the sun)
• Dress (again, by determining which skin is exposed)
• Occupational and recreational sun exposure over the course of many years

Although prevention is the easiest way to fight wrinkles, we cannot avoid the reality that indeed, we are all aging, but with these guidelines we can hope that, at least, we will age with grace:

• Plan a healthy diet rich in fruits and vegetables. This is not only beneficial to the skin, but to the whole body as well.

• If you do smoke, stop. If you do not, best for you, but do avoid places where a lot of people smoke, t can affect your skin and your health as well.

• Drink plenty of water always. At least eight glasses of water is recommended in a day.

• If you think you don't get enough vitamins from what you eat, take vitamin supplements.

• Take care of your skin every day, wash and moisturize daily.

• Stay away from the sun and when outdoors, use sunscreen.

• Have a happy outlook in life. Studies show that stress and anxiety can affect the skin. Stay happy always.

The “eternal promise of youth” can be seen in the innumerable products and procedures advertised in books, magazines, and other media that promise 'younger-looking skin.' But, many claims for such youth-enhancing methods are unfortunately overblown or entirely nonexistent.

Still, effective techniques for softening and even removing wrinkles do exist. There are new products in the market that have shown good results: those containing SKIN REGENERATING ACTIVATORS, that both get rid of damaged cells and trigger their replacement with new healthy skin cells produced from within the deep layers of your skin.

One is BIO SKIN CARE cream, which contains a natural biological ingredient, collected from live land snails, the same they use to quickly repair their own skin and shell when damaged. It is contained in the mucin secreted by the snails, and gathered through a process that is safe for them. The active ingredient in the product is a complex of Glycoproteins that gently eliminate worn out cells, while at the same time triggering the reproduction of new collagen and elastin cells, resulting in a coordinated biological regulation of the skin renewal process and thus advanced skin rejuvenation.

Going Away? Store Your Car. by Michelle Crimson

So you are going on a much awaited family vacation to the Caribbean. And now you would be out in the open sea and relaxing with your loved ones for a couple of weeks. Well, this might be a good time to relax however there are some things that you do need to take care of before you do take off for that tropical get away.

One of the things that you should not forget to keep and store to safety is your beloved car. Of course everybody knows that your car has been your constant companion through your daily responsibilities and duties. It has also consistently served you to your fun nights out as well as your simple wanderings to different places.

According to automobile experts, a car should be stored well if it would not be used for a long period of time. This is primarily because a car has many fluids and other chemicals in it that could only try to wear down the metal and rubber components of the vehicle if it is not used for a long time. With this in mind, you should now be ready to take on the task of keeping your car safe and stored well while you enjoy your long vacation.

First off, you should choose a good garage or a storage facility for cars that is dry. This is very important because any damp air or any kind of moisture would actually cause rust to form on your car. Remember, you are going to keep your car stored for a good amount of time. This should be just the right amount of time for rust to work its craft on your car.

Another thing that you should check is the gas tank. Make sure that you fill it up even if you are not going to use it. Also add a fuel stabilizing additive. This actually prevents the gas from oxidizing. This is very important. Or you might find rust and moisture inside your gas tank when you come back. And while you are at it, disconnect the battery.

Purchase a car cover or tarpaulin that is of good quality to make sure that there would be only a minimal amount of dust and other materials to touch your vehicle.

And when you have done this, you might as well start off to your vacation spot and enjoy it.
