An ideal balanced diet consists of adequate amounts of vegetables and fruits within calorie limits. Vegetables consumed should be all types like dark green vegetable, legumes, starchy vegetables, etc. several times a day. This helps to build the iron and zinc levels in your body. Each day's meal should contain whole grain meals, milk and milk products. Non-vegetarians should eat lean meats and fish, either baked, broiled or grilled.
