OC is one of those great shows you can catch on TV late at night, and you expect it to be on when nothing else is. It is packed full of humor that almost anyone can relate to, and includes problems that real people can actually understand. Rather than watching some crazy soap opera with twisted story lines, OC brings out the humor in everyday live even just by sitting in a coffee shop and chatting with friends.

I was still in high school when the show The O.C. aired its pilot episode, so I could totally relate to the melodrama that is, ultimately, high school. I loved the show so much that when it came out on DVD I was there waiting to buy it. Although I have to admit that when I started watching it I did think it was not all that original but hey that was ok because at that time it was nice to have a bunch of television shows that I could relate to personally.

The O.C. or also known as Orange County, California is your typical teen drama about the rich life in a rich town where everything seems perfect when you look upon it unknowingly. What you do not see is that although everything seems perfect on the outside, it is a different story when looking from within. The show tells the stories of three different families, Nichol, Cohen and Cooper and one boy, Ryan Atwood.

The star of the show is, of course, Ryan Atwood, played by Benjamin McKenzie. Ryan was taken in by Sandy Cohen after he was thrown out of his families home in Chino, CA by his own mother and ultimately abandoned. He is a troubled teen who was thrust into the lives of the rich. Sandy Cohen, played by Peter Gallagher, starts as a public defender, then gets a job at a private law firm and being fired from there, then he started his own firm. His firm was burnt to the ground by his son, accidentally of course. Then he becomes CEO of the Newport Group and in the end he ends up back at his old college, teaching.

Kristen Cohen, played by Kelly Rowan, is Sandy’s wife and the mother of their son Seth. She was also the CFO of the Newport Group, her father’s real estate company and co-founder, with Julie Cooper-Nichol, of the NewMatch Dating Service. Julie Copper-Nichol, played by Melinda Clark, is the mother of Kaitlin and the late Marissa Copper. She was married to Jimmy Cooper in the beginning of the series and then divorces him after learning his secret. Later she marries Caleb Nichol, after he dies, she is engaged to Dr. Neil Roberts and the relationship falls apart after Marissa dies. Then she begins a love affair and has a child with Frank Atwood.

Marissa Cooper, played by Misha Barton, is the late daughter of Julie. She was continually battling with drugs and alcohol and was Summer Roberts’ best friend until she died in a car accident. Summer Roberts, played by Rachel Bilson, is the daughter of Dr. Neil Roberts and becomes the wife of Seth Cohen at the end of the season. Summer was also the best friend of Marissa. Seth Cohen, played by Adam Brody, is the son of Sandy and Kristen Cohen and surrogate brother to Ryan Atwood.

The O.C. was critically acclaimed to be Witty, Well-Crafted and Winningly Acted, The O.C. gets contemporary family life right, by unknown source.

I am a huge fan of the show One Tree Hill, I think the entire cast is really awesome and I think that a lot of people can relate to the “real-life” dramatic instances that happen in the show. It did not take me long to really get into the show and I have been hooked ever since. I think the show has at least one character in which someone can relate to. For example there are many people who can relate to Peyton when she decided that getting married young was not something she wanted to do.

One Tree Hill is a show about kids during their high school years and what they have to deal with at home, at school and throughout their social lives in the small town of Tree Hill, North Carolina. The kids go through many family issues and heartbreaks. Although, the show is mostly about what the kids go through and the challenges of being teenagers and growing up, the adults also have a lot of growing up to do and much to deal with along with challenges of their own. Now the show is about what is happening now that the kids are adults and dealing with real life adult issues.

The main characters are Lucas and Nathan Scott. Nathan is your every day jock, he’s handsome, and he comes from a wealthy family with a very successful father. James Lafferty plays Nathan. Then there is Lucas who is obviously Nathan’s brother. Lucas was raised by his mother alone after his father had to choose between the two women he got pregnant. Nathan and Lucas did not have a great relationship at first but later on they became quite close. Lucas is played by Chad Michael Murray.

Haley James Scott is Nathan’s wife and mother of their young son James Lucas “Jamie” Scott. Haley is also a teacher at Tree Hill High. Haley is played by Bethany Joy Galeotti and Jamie is played by Jackson Brundage. Antwon “Skills” Taylor has been a friend of Lucas’ since River Court. He is the assistant head couch at Tree Hill High and plays a big role in Jamie’s life as part of “the gang”. Marvin “Mouth” McFadden is also one of Lucas’ oldest friends and also came from River Court. He is a sports commentator and is some what unlucky in love but things are beginning to heat up between him and his boss Alice.

Peyton Sawyer is a musician and has her own recording studio. Peyton is in love with Lucas and he is in love with her, although, when he proposed she turned him down. Peyton did not think that getting married so young would be the best idea. Brooke Davis was captain of the cheerleading quad in high school and now has a very successful clothing line called Clothes Over Bros. When her and Peyton returned to Tree Hill from LA, Brooke opened the old diner (Karen’s Cafe) as a new Clothes Over Bros store.

Pushing Daisies pushes the envelope. Full of camp and charm with a macabre twist, this show is both fun and a refreshing change from the normal sitcoms and dramas we see everyday. From the moment the narrator started informing the audience of Ned's precise age in the first episode, we were hooked. Pushing Daisies is like a fairy tale, a comedy and a mystery all rolled into one.

Pushing Daisies is about Ned. He has a special gift... he can bring the dead back to life, briefly. When he touches them a second time, they die again. If the people he brings back remain alive more than a minute, someone nearby dies instead. He teams up with Emerson, a private investigator, to earn extra money by solving murders. They visit the morgue, touch the victim, ask him or her questions for a minute, and then return them to their former status. They then hunt down the perpetrators. On the first episode, Ned finds one of the victims is Charlotte Charles, his former childhood best friend. Chuck, as she is called, comes back to life at Ned's touch, and he can't bring himself to let her die again, since he loves her. Ned owns and runs a pie shop called The Pie Hole as his day job, where Olive works as his waitress. Olive is in love with Ned. In life, Chuck lived with her aunts (after her father died when Ned saved his mother when they were children), Vivian and Lily Charles, who were once famous as the Darling Mermaid Darlings synchronized swimmers. Olive gets to know them, and the whole story keeps twisting and turning from there.

Pushing Daisies premiered on October 3, 2007, and continued for a total of nine episodes before being interrupted by the writers' strike. Hopefully it will return with all its quirkiness intact once the strike is over. Pushing Daisies is directed by Barry Sonnenfeld, and was created by Bryan Fuller, who has also penned a few episodes.

The main character, Ned aka the Pie-maker, is played by Lee Pace with deadpan (pardon the pun) innocence. The love of his life, Chuck, is played by English actress Anna Friel. Chuck is usually happy go lucky, and enjoys raising bees for honey. Emerson Cod, the knitting private investigator is played expertly by Chi McBride. Chuck's aunts are played by veteran actresses Ellen Greene (Vivian Charles) and Swoosie Kurtz (Lily Charles), who bring a wonderful kookiness to their characters. Olive Snook, the smitten pie waitress is played by Kristen Chenoweth. She has been known to burst into song when she can't contain her feelings. The Narrator is voiced by Jim Dale, well-known for his audio recordings of the Harry Potter novels. Occasional recurring characters include Young Ned, played by Field Cate, the coroner, played by Sy Richardson, the newscaster, played by Leyna Nguyen and Young Chuck, played by Sammi Hanratty.

Pushing Daisies has earned high praise in its debut season. The Chicago Sun-Times stated, "Pushing Daisies deserves its high praise. It's the best new drama of the fall, finding sweet hope in morbid tragedy." The San Francisco Chronicle agreed, saying, "It's a gloriously visual fairy tale full of saturated colors and whimsical stories, the kind of romantic comedy/whodunit that should, by rights, captivate a nation starved for quirkiness and delight."

If you do not watch The Wire you are missing out on the 21 century’s best television production. The acting is outstanding, the writing is incredible, and the direction is well designed. This is the resistant underbelly of Baltimore at its worse, precisely portrayed and magnificently detailed. This is not just excellent television, this is awesome drama, with good and bad guys where the good guys can be bad and the bad guys can be good. The performances are spectacular and everyone who is involved with this series deserves to get an award.

The Wire is a drama series about life in Baltimore, Maryland. You have the ongoing battles between the gangs and the police. The battle is told from both sides of the story, from the gangs and the police. The show deals with how everyone lives together in this one city and it doesn’t matter who you are, you are always compromised. The show was created, primarily written and produced by David Simon, who was at one time a police reporter. The show has had too many directors to name.
