RECENT STUDIES HAVE FOUND THAT CERTAlN ENVIRONMENTAL chemicals-flame retardants, pesticides and substances in plastics-are present in small concentrations in many women's breast milk.

While it sounds scary, experts say that nursing infants is still best.

"Just because a chemical is found in human milk doesn't mean that it poses a health risk for breast-fed babies," says Cheston M. Berlin, Jr., M.D., a professor of pediatrics and pharmacology at Penn State Children's Hospital.

That's because there's no evidence that the amounts in the study participants' milk are dangerous.

"Meanwhile, there's overwhelming evidence to confirm the benefits of breast-feeding, which include protection against conditions ranging from ear infections and allergies to cancer," says Dr. Berlin.

None of the recent studies refute these findings or the recommendation to breast·feed.

You're about to start shooting High School Musical 3: Senior Year. Arei' you psyched?

We have so much fun together, and it's been in our lives for years, so the fact that this is the ending of the chapter is sad to me.

You recently finished shooting the 2009 film They Came from Upstairs in New Zealand, in which your character dukes it out with aliens. Talk about a change from HSM.

It was so much fun! I had an action scene where I had a fight, a battle, girl vs. alien. It was my first action scene in a movie.

Are you planning to record another solo album?

Yeah. I've been taking my time with thisonal~edonetwosong~
I really want to cowrite, so I'll be cowriting with some writers when I'm in Utah [filming HSM 3]. It probably won't come out until the fall.



As a spokesperson for Degree Girl antiperspirant, you have a video blog (DegreeGirl.com), where you share your "OMG! moments." What's one of your "OMG! moments"?

I got to meet Jessica [Simpson] when she was on the set of Blonde Ambition. I fell in love with Jessica and Nick from Newlyweds, and I just always wanted to meet her.

You've denied reports that you had a second nose job. What about reports of breast augmentation?

Oh yeah. I read that I had a boob job. Look at me. Does it look like it? Absolutely not. That is so not me!-
