Sybex is one of the most requested and relied on publishers when it comes to certification exams. This book covers XK0-002, the most recent Linux+ xam. One word of warning, do not rely on just one book to pass the exam. Study well, combine this study guide with more books covering systems administration on Linux and you will be good to go. The book covers such topics as: Installation, commands, user management, disk management, package and process management, security, networking, hardware and documentation. Again, this is a study guide. If you need to review some topics in detail, supplement this material with live OS exercises and reference books. Kudos to Roderick W. The book of Justin Davies presents very clearly the SUSE Linux 10. It is understable and it guides the reader to learn to use and exploit the SuSE Linux. I recommend the book to all the readers, interested in learning SUSE Linux and to use the excellent distribution of SUSE Linux that the book has in DVD, in their business. Personally, I use both the SUSE Linux
About the Author
Justin Davies (London, England) was the principal UK consultant for SUSE until recently, has hands-on experience deploying Linux in the enterprise, and in depth knowledge in standard Unix services, DNS, Apache, and SMTP.
Roger Whittaker (Surrey, England) joined SUSE Linux when opened their UK office in 1999, working as a technical and training consultant until early in 2004. He works as a Linux consultant at CSF in London.
William von Hagen (Pittsburgh, PA) is a Senior Product Manager with TimeSys Corporation, a leading developer of Linux embedded systems and tools. He has been a Unix sys adm since 1982 and avid Linux user since 1993. and the Fedora Red-Hat one, in my academic and research work. Both are of supreme quality and fully compatible at the binary level. I installed the SUSE distribution from the offered DVD with the book, and it runs perfectly!
