EL FUSILADO
![]() "EL FUSILADO" (THE EXECUTED ONE) Wenseslao Moguel, of Merida, Yucatan, in 1915 was shot 9 times by a firing squad - including the "coup de grace" (a final bullet shot through the head at close range by an officer after the execution to insure death) - yet recovered. Although horribly scarred, Wenseslao lived for many years after his "execution", appearing on Ripley's radio show on July 16, 1937 and at Ripley's Cleveland Odditorium later the same year.Image 7 of 12
