This brings me to good things. Ubuntu 9.10 is installed on your computer without any problem. The volume buttons and graphics acceleration hardware good job, and multiple monitors (using the internal LCD and external monitor) working outside the window. The button to disable the trackpad and the button to disable the wireless working under Ubuntu (as the corresponding LED). LED indicators for things like caps lock, num lock, trackpad, wireless, and merge the laptop well. Wired and Wireless (B and G, at least) are both working properly. NTFS resizing also worked fine. The machine is fast enough, with both operating systems, although the 5400 rpm impede the time to start the application. graphics performance is very good for professional applications, I do not play games on a general-purpose computers, however, so my standards may be lower than that of people who spend more than a video card that I made on this notebook together. I like the track pad pretty well, and the handset feels solid enough. I have not tried the HDMI output or media card reader integrated with an operating system yet. I suppose it will work once, I’ll post a follow-up if one fails. For the record, I’d be willing to trade for HDMI and Bluetooth.:)

The only other thing to note is the layout of the keyboard. There is an end “Shared Key with the number 1 on the keyboard, and another end above the numeric keypad (the lock on the sliding share / sys req button). I am in love with the transition” + order “(and Shift + Home) keyboard shortcuts to select everything from the cursor to the end (or beginning) of the line. However, by pressing the “shift” and more “end” key actually makes the keyboard type to 1. E ‘minor, but bothers me.

Speaking of boring – do not install Windows Media is (I bet that a CD costs less than paper and microfiber fabric notebook HP has chosen to bundle). You can create a set of installation disks if you want to use a tool included, even if (only one side supported by the tool, although there is a DVD double layer here), be sure to do it before you wipe a Windows machine to install Linux. :) If anything, it is easier to sell the license if you have a support that goes with it. ;)

Overall, if I could get another of these at the same price I bought it for (Black agreement Friday with a couple of other benefits, including the repayment agreement in the process), I ‘do not hesitate to do so. Yes, I spent most of this review trenches on little things, but the main good things are already evident. The processor and memory included is very good, the disk capacity is good (although it is slower than a 7200 RPM disk), the screen quality is excellent and the sound is good for a laptop. Windows 7 does not suck as Windows in the past, and support of Linux on this device is very good.

I received this laptop on december 2, and I have been on it non-stop. I love it. My favorite game (the sims 3) runs smoothly. And I love the wi-fi I wish I could give it 10 stars.

After getting to fully customize this laptop for about two weeks. I love the feel of the keyboard, the touchpad is excellent, I can barely tell its there. It runs so quietly the fan makes no noise whatso ever. uploading several gb of music, movies and photos from a memorycard or usb devices takes a matter of minutes instead of a half hour to 45 minutes. I don’t think I could have picked a better laptop for the money. Though a battery with a better life span has been ordered. This is my third baby it goes where I go

We have our Pavililion HP DV4-1547SB about a month ago. At the same time we received the computer, we bought an extended battery. One of the first things that we have when we use a computer gor to the camera to see our grandson who has been heard about a week ago and his cooing thereon. We live in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and our great-grandchildren live in Ottowas, Canada. What a pleasure that my wife and I to enjoy this technology. The picture and sound quality were so clear. And of course our grandson and his wife in a position to unboard by the camera into the computer cover to find us there.

The computer is fast with the use of Windows 7, and through the use of PDF, I could send Christmas with all its graphics by email to many friends and relatives. This is my message inoperative guickly and without the cost of postage.

My wife sits down with the computer to play on your lap and to send e-mails. I use the computer to write texts. I use Word and Word Perfect for my word processor.

I am 77 years old and my wife is 79, and we find this machine easy to use and fast. We have seen the manual on the Internet, copy it, holes in the rim of the manual and put iit in a notebook, one can give all the details we need to learn how to navigate.

This little laptop is a wonder. It’s a beautiful piece of hardware, runs very quick, multitasks great, is dead silent, and I’m getting 10-12 hours of battery life on stock configuration.

I’ve never seen anything like this; you just keep using it and using it and using it. Even when I’ve got every MS Office program running at once + a bunch of Firefox tabs + iTunes playing music, I still get 6-7 hours.

I was pleasantly surprised how little bloatware came with it. The only annoying piece of software I really needed to uninstall was some antivirus program. MS Office Home/Student came preinstalled on a free trial, but I was going to use that anyway so they saved me the installation.

Windows 7 runs great on this laptop. Power management and networking features work beautifully. The great sleep/wake functionality in Windows 7 makes startup time largely irrelevant, but even when you do have to start up from scratch it’s nice and speedy. There are lots of nice little touches to this machine that let you know Asus is a really class act. Things like attractive on-screen displays for volume and brightness adjustment for example.

My only nitpick is that the trackpad is a little jumpy. It’s a little hard to land the cursor onto some of the smaller buttons, like scrollbar arrows. This is probably a driver issue, so it likely will be fixed soon enough. The keyboard is very spacious and pleasant to type on.

Overall I’m extremely satisfied with my UL30A-X5.

Crayola Crayon Maker
Crayola Crayon Maker
Old Crayons Are New Again! The Crayola Crayon Maker turns crayon bits and pieces into new crayons in wild color combinations. Mix Melt & Mold! Its easy! Just mix in crayon bits melt them down pour into the mold and let harden. Now you are ready to color again with swirling crayon creations! Additional Information-Recommended for ages 8+. Includes: Crayon Maker crayon holders (to make dual tipped crayons) and crayons to get started. Requires: 1 clear colorless 60-watt candelabra light bulb small base (not included). Do not use extended life bulbs.

Reviews Crayola Crayon Maker

Great educational toy to explain the melting point of solids and how certain products like crayons are made. Good use for your broken crayon pieces. But it takes a lot of adult assistance and patience to make useable crayons. You have to put in the exact amount of crayon - too little and it crumbles, too much and it spills into the other molds and messes up the colors. The molds have to be perfectly pushed shut or it will leak out. The melted wax has to be pored slowly or air bubbles will form in the crayons. You and your child have to wait for the light bulb to melt the wax before you can pore it in the molds. You have to wait for the unit to cool down before the cover will unlock (built in safety "feature" to prevent burning). After the cover will finally lift you can remove the molds, but you have to wait for them to completely cool or the crayons will not retain their shape (putting them in the freezer helps). By the time the cover lifts the remaining wax in the metal trays (of which there is a lot because not all of it will pore out) will be solid and you cannot easily wipe it out - it must be scraped out or it will taint the color of your next creation. All this said, my 6 year old loved it and would play with something else during the waiting times. We have made dozens of new crayons.
