While it may not be as heart-stopping-ly exciting as the upcoming finale of its mother series Grey’s Anatomy, the Private Practice season finale promises to be rife with “events that will define their future” itself. By their, the promo meant the characters of the ABC medical drama, including Violet (Amy Brenneman), who finally has to choose between Pete (Tim Daly) and Sheldon (Brian Benben), which should rile up those from Team Sheldon or Team Pete; Addison (Kate Walsh), who has to face her feelings for Noah (Josh Hopkins) as Morgan (Amanda Detmer) goes into labor; and Naomi, (Audra McDonald) who’s playing with the idea of starting anew at Pacific Wellcare and leaving Oceanside Welness.

Elsewhere on “Yours, Mine and Ours,” Dell (Chris Lowell) understandably has some concerns for his daughter when a drugged-out Heather returns to town, and all these while a grief-stricken patient starts posing a danger to Violet.

Although I won’t be concerned with the real father of the baby because as Brenneman teased regarding the finale, “Something happens in the finale that is so big and upsetting that it makes the question of who the baby’s father is secondary.” An E! Online report, meanwhile, assures that Violet’s baby drama will end in a cliffhanger that should satisfy every Private Practice fan.

On the last episode of Private Practice, a pregnant woman started to show signs of heart complications, Addison rushed her to St. Ambrose where Noah was standing by to help. Meanwhile at Oceanside Wellness, Sam (Taye Diggs) noticed Naomi frequently sneaking away from the clinic, and her elusiveness caused him to rethink their friendship. Lastly, Pete’s relationship with Lisa became complicated by Violet’s ever-present pregnancy; and Sheldon decided it’s time to take a stand.

The cast and producers of Fringe gathered at Paley Fest last week. At the event, the group dished on a number of season one topics, taking note of events to come over the next few weeks.

Executive Producer Roberto Orci, on the season finale: “We were saving so many juicy secrets for years and years, and we’re actually going to stick a bunch of them in the finale. That may be the worst idea ever, but we’re doing it.” Anna Torv, on the season finale: “The last couple of episodes are very exciting. You get to the bottom of Harris (Michael Gaston) - there are a couple of surprises—and Jones (Jared Harris) comes back, and you find out something that I didn’t expect. And we meet William Bell!”

Joshua Jackson, on the season finale: “The episodes that we’re in right now are about clarifying why it is that Olivia is so important to the FBI and understanding why Olivia specifically - not any other cop - got chosen for that job.”

John Noble, on relationship between Walter and William Bell: “When Walter refers to William Bell, he doesn’t do it nastily, he always says ‘Belly and I did this or did that.’ He hasn’t got a grudge against him.”

Jackson, on revelations about his character: “It is actually, if I may say so, shocking. It radically changes the understanding of the character. I don’t play it… It happens somewhere else with other characters, but information is revealed.”

Orci, on Anna’s abilities: “Does she have superpowers? It depends on what you mean by super. She could have powers that we could all discover within ourselves. Or she may be going crazy.”
