When it comes to going on a trip (rather it be for your job or just for entertainment) you will want to make sure that you start off right by being fully prepared for anything. There are some tips that you will need to keep in mind when it comes to vacations and trips, but you will find that the following is some things that you must have.

You will first want to come up with a plan or prepare an itinerary so that you can get the most out of the vacation or trip. However, don't cry a river when things don't end up like planned. You will find that there are going to be times where you will need to stick with the plan and then there are times to let go and go with the flow.

Always make sure that you have the following before you leave the home for the trip: money, passport, clean clothes (including underwear), and any and all tickets.

When it comes to the clothing aspect, you will want to plan for many kinds of weather. You never know if it will rain or not rain so plan for both. You will find that there are some clothing items that you can wear for either or. Also, leave the new clothes at home. Especially if you plan on washing clothes before you leave. Using the internet, you can find weather conditions for anywhere from the US to Oliva, Spain.

Also, don't forget your shoes. Shoes are the most important aspect to any trip, because they can ruin any trip. You need to make sure that they aren't new and that you are comfortable in the shoes as well. You don't want to strain a muscle in your foot either by wearing silly shoes.

Don't forget things like medications, keys, locking up, and taking anything extra that you need for your business presentation or for your trip to be enjoyed. You will want to also bring things like plenty of insect spray and you will also want to make sure that you have enough medication for the entire trip and some to spare. You never know what may happen or if you will be arriving back on time.

It is very important that you leave the home secured. The last thing that anyone will want to do is come home and find their house robbed or worse, damaged. Have someone that you trust to keep an eye on the house.

Also, you will need to bring an extra bag for dirty clothes, and no trip is completed without a map.

When you consider these things you will find that you are missing something and you will want to check everything twice and make sure that your bags are securely attached to the car rack and so on.

Although the answer to the million dollar question "How to maintain rankings after website redesign" is relatively straight forward, but the fact is, depending on the intensity of the redesign, it can become very complex. In most of the cases there will be specifics for each site to prepare the final plan and it is nearly impossible to cover all scenarios in a single article. So in this article I am describing the process that would apply in most cases.

1. File Names

Do not ever change your filenames unless it is absolutely essential to restructure the file hierarchy since you risk losing valuable rankings with page renaming. Not only that, but you also lose existing customers / visitors who might have bookmarked the now-moved page. In cases where you do not have a choice but to rename the page filenames, use of a 301 redirection is best solution. The 301 redirection will automatically direct your existing customers /visitors to the new location of the now-moved pages. Permanent 301 redirects also help to retain the Page Rank of your pages and sometimes your rankings also.

When you move a page with the 301 redirects, credits are re-assigned by the Search Engines. Existing rankings will eventually be transferred over to the new location along with any credit from inbound links.

2. Site Structure

This is the extension of above mentioned point. Along with filenames, change in site structure can also include your domain name. The above rule still holds true if your domain name is the only change you make to your site. Even with proper 301 redirects, your rankings may drop significantly. Changing your domain name can be a complete rankings killer.

It is also very important to ensure that you have 404 redirects in place. Either direct "page not found" traffic to a custom 404 error page, or to your site's home page.

3. Image Links

If your current website utilizes text links to link to the home page, ensure that they are carried over to the new design without losing the relevancy.

4. Content Management Systems

Today many new sites use CMS for content management which can sometimes destroy your rankings. Before switching to a CMS ensure that changed URL's are properly covered with 301 redirects and try to find a system that offers clean simple URL strings with minimal extra characters. Also ensure that your system allows you to edit all aspects of a given page like addition of unique title and meta tags and adjustment of alt tags.

5. Content

If your new site contains entirely fresh textual content, ensure that the keyword densities remain as close as possible to the old copy. Be sure to keep inline text links, heading tags, and keyword placement within the top portions of the new site.

6. Title and Meta Tags
Make sure to copy the title and meta tag of your old page to the new version.

7. Alt tags

Make sure to keep the optimized alt tags in place for the images remaining on the site. In cases where header images and image based navigation is being completely updated be sure to follow the same guidelines with the alt tags in the original design.

8. XML Sitemap

XML sitemaps help Google index the new location of your site pages to ensure an easy and faster recovery from the change.

By following the above mentioned steps, you will stand the best chance for retaining your existing rankings.

Benefits of Using Google AdWords For Your ClickBank Promotions

Many affiliates promote exclusively through Google AdWords, primarily for the following reasons:

* Easier start up than for traditional offline advertising which sometimes requires references from solicitors, accountants and bank managers, sometimes trade suppliers, before ads. will be accepted. Online the only thing that really matters is your intention and ability to pay, and that is accomplished by providing access to your credit card details! Matters of ethics, trading standards, and such, can be questioned by Google and others later.

* Just one place to turn for all your advertising needs, unlike offline publications which are traditionally separated into general markets and niche markets. Google AdWords can be targeted almost instantly at the tightest of niche markets, however few members exist. Offline publications require huge subscriber bases to stay afloat, unlike the Internet which caters for everyone, regardless how remote their interest or needs. So you could place advertisements in your Google account targeting products at fans of Gregory Peck, bonsai tree growers, bellringers aged over eighty, people suffering from bad breath, big bosomed women who find buying bras offline a bit of a challenge. Of course you'd never find offline publications targeting enough of those people to make your ad. viable, but online your ads. could appear in minutes and reach virtually every person who ever enquires online about Gregory Peck (I do it all the time!), big girls' bras, tiny trees and elderly bell boys! What's more, because your audience is so remote (assuming you have a product those people need and might actually buy), competition for Google keywords and listings should be low, possibly non-existent.

* No waiting for ads to appear. Google AdWords appear almost immediately after the 'submit' button is pressed.

* Can target specific countries and languages. Some products sell universally, the whole world is your potential market, regardless of location, first language, population, etc. So you target your Google AdWords to 'All Countries' and 'All Languages'. Not so if your product is only suitable in for one country, and only by English speaking customers, in which case you choose 'English' as the language, and select one or more specific countries for your ad. to appear.

* Uniquely cheap, compared to newspaper advertising. National papers charge hundreds, sometimes thousands of units of currency (dollar, pound, whatever) compared to Google AdWords which, if few rivals exist for your chosen key words and phrases, can cost cents, pennies, whatever!

* Potentially many more people will see your online ad. than in traditional offline publications. Most offline publications target a few million readers maximum, plus a few more for over-the-shoulder readers and others waiting in doctors' and dentists' surgeries! Google, however, has millions of searches each day, not all suitable for your products, but that number should grow daily as more and more people discover the joys of buying online! It's a sellers' market, getting better all the time!

* Small companies can compete with major rivals selling similar products. But where those major companies are prepared to spend millions, without generating front end sales, just to build a customer list for back end sales, the small guy must work a little harder at finding key words and phrases their bigger rivals haven't noticed or consider too trivial to bother adding to their listings.

* Testing is easy, fast, cheap. Products, prices, markets and customer likes and dislikes can be tested in days via Google AdWords, unlike offline advertising which can mean placing revised advertisements over long periods to test various elements of the business.

If you are talking to an SEO you are sure to come across the therm 'spider' and that the spider crawls the website pages. Who or what is this spider after all and hoe does he crawl over our website? The most popular sites listed first moving down towards the newer or less popular ones.

The spiders look for relevant keywords on each of the website pages and collect them together and save it in the similar format. As soon as a user types any of those related terms in the search engines the saved list of web pages are displayed in the search engine resulting page is the same order of popularity. This is how web pages are ranked. The ranking of websites is one of the important search engine marketing technique as most websites are evaluated according to their ranks in the search engines.
