University of Central Lancashire (Uclan) design student Sara Watson wanted to make something disappear. Not with magic, but with a technique that she was more familiar with—painting.

Recycling Lives, a local recycling firm, donated the Skoda Fabia car used in Sara’s grand illusion and after 3 weeks, it was turned into, well, a transparent, mass-less object, taking the appearance of the parking lot behind and beneath it. Very cool!

Since the first outbreak of swine flu symptoms, people have been wearing surgical masks to keep themselves from getting infected. But instead of wearing the plain, boring white masks, why not have a little fun by wearing one of these funny face masks?

Although wearing the simple, white surgical masks have become the norm in heavily polluted areas in Asia, people in Mexico and the U.S. have now also adopted wearing masks after locals reported swine flu symptoms.

Not only will you be protecting yourself by wearing one of these funny face masks, you will also undoubtedly be putting a smile on someone’s face during this frightening outbreak of swine flu symptoms.

I started building web sites 2 and a half years ago with SBI. With the recent economic downturn, you should learn how to build your own business online with Site Build It E Learning. This is a brand new online course that you can take in just 12 weeks.

When I started building my first web site, SBI did not offer a course. True, they make it pretty easy to build a web site with their block builder design and their manual, The Action Guide, but this online course can really give a boost to someone who is not feeling confident enough to start a web site alone. I think it is a great idea!

Let's go over how it works. You will be assigned an instructor who is well-acquainted with how the internet works, how web site building works, and how to make money with your web site.

The first week you will learn a bit about SBI, meet your teacher and your fellow students. You will take the class with a few others so it will be your own mini caring community. You will learn SBIs success tips to doing well on the internet. These are real tips that work. I know because I own 4 SBI sites. Two are less than one year old and are gaining more traffic as the months go by.

During the second week, you will choose something to build your web site about. This is called your site concept. Ideally, this should be something that you love, such as a favorite hobby or job or a wonderful place to visit.

During the third week, you will learn how to research keywords related to your site concept. You will choose which keywords will bring the most traffic to your site so you can get found by people all around the world. After all, what good is a beautiful web site without anyone finding it? With SBI, you will get found.

In week four, you will figure out how you will make money with your web site. This is called monetization. You can use Google ads, Infolinks, Kontera, you can sell e-books, you can sell hard goods, or you can join affiliate programs and earn commissions.

During week five, you will choose the name of your web site. This is called your domain name. After you choose one, you will need to make sure it is not already taken. Once that is completed, you will register your domain name, and BAM! You now have your own domain name and you can begin to build your own web site.

You will learn how to build your own business online during weeks six and seven by building your home page and some other pages. Now you have the beginning of your web site completed! How exciting is that?

During week eight, you will learn how to work with search engines so your web site can get found easily by visitors.

In week nine, you will learn how to get your visitors in the right frame of mind to buy what you are selling or to look at the ads on your site. You will provide them with so much great information, that they will be happy to accept your recommendations.

For the rest of week nine and for week ten, you will learn about traffic statistics and other data and what they mean.

During week eleven, you will study different ways of monetizing your site and you will choose some of the ways available to you and put them on your site.

Week twelve is the final week. You will be given additional information so that you can continue to build your web site on your own. Congratulations! You have graduated. You have started a successful online business that you will continue to grow by adding pages as often as you can.

Understand that this is not a get rich quick scheme, but a real working business. Work hard and the pay off will be great! Over time, as your traffic increases, your income will grow.

itsknotwood.blogspot.com is a website dedicated to things that look like, but are not, made of wood. There are some pretty cool finds on the blog including wooden printed clothing and socks and some rather strange fake wood furniture to boot.

I really like some of the interiors, especially the floor mats, but I cannot help but wonder what is wrong with using the real deal.

The home business industry is growing online and people are finding ways to attract leads to them. The Internet is already full of information and that can be a double edge sword. There are several systems out there, which I know of, to get your business marketing up and running online. This opens doors to even more information a person can research.

Are you feeling overwhelmed with the amount of information to market online? I know exactly how you feel. Once I started down the path to Internet attraction marketing I had more information then I knew what to do with. And still do. That is great when you have lots of information to research and find what you area looking for.

I had to remind my self to take it one step at a time and my step was different then anyone else step. My mentor, Donna Wells, would remind me often, to not get overwhelmed, until it stuck with me. The last few months I have read a lot of books on the network marketing industry and am applying what I have learned.

A few important things for me were to be consistent and persistent, which we all hear about in the home business industry. As Mike Klingler says ‘training + action= success’ If there is more or less of one of the variables it will tip the scale unfavorable. Focus on one thing until you are proficient in it. In the traditional work place we are trained on one thing then the next, when working at home we get scattered.

So get a plan to focus the action. Start with 2 or 3 until you master those areas.

Internet marketing

Business people/entrepuneurs

Friends of friends

Once those areas are mastered you can add to it.

Network marketers

People you meet during your day

So in review, stay consistent, persistent, focused on the plan, lots of practice until it is easy, and then you will have success.
