A game that is played on a board is called a board game. The board used to play the game is developed out of countless materials specifically designed for counters or pieces to be laid on it, dismissed from it or shifted across it. A classic favorite, they are exciting to learn and deemed to be impeccable for entertaining because so many people can enjoy it. A few board games are known to be particularily great because of their quality strategy, like - Go (Weigi), Oware, and Xianggi (Chinese Chess). Board games are known to have entertained many people and have been a part of indoor games in a great amount of societies and cultures. A couple of the board games have even been found dating back to the mature cultures when there was not much reading skills of any kind. Quite a bit of artifacts and papers have been dug from critical spots of past background which reveal the dependablity of the fact. The rage of these types of games started to increase amidst the common mass in the start of the twentieth century when the public witnessed the elevation of the new standard class thanks to extraneous income. These people now had more time to loosen up and can you think of a better way to exploit the moment than to humor themselves by playing these games? Next, these games hit a supreme peak hereafter the Second World War thus we have seen many board games dating from this time. Not surprisingly, computer games equally have borrowed their portion of ideas from older board games, you can see this in such games as Civilization, which developes its rules from a board game. Likewise, numerous board games are now been turned into games for the computer, and they also harbor the choice of forcing the computer to act the role of the contender. The popularity of computers has led to a proportionate reduction in the hardest board games, because not only do computers take up less room, but they are uncomplicated to set up, and are thus painless to put away. Since the growth of the Internet, many board games are easy to discover online and can be fought in real time next to a true online contestant or against the computer itself. Frequently, these games are played when you have nothing to do and are sitting idle. Some of the games that have been integral are those located on Yahoo, Lycos etc. you can reference the information sources printed at the base of this essay. The new industry of board games is heaped with corporate acquisitions and mergers, with paramount enterprises like Hasbro retaining countless sub divisions and marketing their items under many packages. It takes some time to make people aware of a fresh board game to the majority of people. Business groups tend to stay away from selling these such games whose fame is still undecided, and most of big companies of board games have standardized advisements that a game must meet in order to be sold. As an example, we can site Battleship - if it recreated as an alternative game now, it would not be able to satisfy the standards of creation.

Many Nintendo DS owners don't realize that their favorite little hand held system can do a whole lot more than just play video games. Don't get me wrong, the games for the Nintendo DS are absolutely fantastic. I love all the Mario games, and even more so, all of the brain teaser / brain training games. But like any tech and gadget geek, the number of gadgets I carry around with me has increased 200 - 300% since the early nineties. I have my cell phone, my MP3 player (yes, I know, the iphone can play MP3, etc... but I am just not a huge iPhone fan), as well as my Nintendo DS system. I love being able to play a quick round of my favorite game of the day while I sit on the subway to work. Nothing makes the time go by faster than hunkering down and beating the next boss in Final Fantasy. I usually have my MP3 player on as well, listening to my favorite collection while I kick some serious butt in whatever game I am playing. Okay, I have ot be honest, I am not always winning in the games, but I do try my darned hardest (isn't that supposed to be enough?). That was me, about 2 months ago. Until I found out about the R4 DS Card for the Nintendo DS. Now I'm not just playing games, but listening to music, and even watching a movie when I feel like it. And it's not because I've added another gadget to my backpack, fact, quite the opposite. Because of the R4 DS Card I have been able to remove a could of gadgets from my backpack. The R4 DS Card is a unique little accessory that allows me not only to store and load my games from a microSD card that I put into the R4 DS, but it also lets me load it up with my current playlist in MP3 format, as well as my TV shows or movies that I haven't had time to catch up on in the last few months. So just what is this R4 DS card? Simply put, it's a cartridge that you put into your Nintendo DS console. It looks, feels and acts just like a regular Nintendo DS card. Unlike a regular Nintendo DS Game card however, it has the ability and allows me to use microSD cards - available from any electronics store, Wal-Mart, BestBuy, etc... to store my games, movies, music and eBooks too. I can then load up, listen to or watch whichever movie or song I want to watch or listen to. I've even converted full DVD movies with included software and caught my favorite episode of Dexter on my Nintendo DS. And when I say full movies, I don;t mean choppy or slow playing versions of my movies. They play at full speed, at the right resolution, and are fully watchable (and enjoyable) on my Nintendo DS console. The R4 DS Card is often called a memory card adapted. Because it allows you to use microSD Cards in order to store and load your games, movies or music from any ordinary microSD Card. But I call it a media player. Simply because it not only allows me to store countless games on the microSD card, but also allows me to take all of my movies, music and games with me, no matter where I am. Not to mention that it does away with me having to carry 2-3 different gadgets to accomplish the same task. By dragging and dropping the files I want to use to the microSD card, and putting it into the R4 DS Card, I am able to make my Nintendo DS do things I didn't even think were possible.

The astrology site, Astrotheme has listed the actor, Johnny Depp as the favorite male celebrity on its site. His astrological natal chart has been viewed almost 95,000 times. This article gives an in-depth description of Johnny Depp's astrological birth chart, which offers an insightful look into the nature of this savvy, unconventional and brilliant actor. My Sun is in Gemini in the 11th house. I am intelligent, artsy and avant garde. I am curious about how others think and relate to life. I continually explore and discover new ways of being, which satisfies my never ending curiosity. My circle of friends is quite eclectic, and sometimes eccentric, which I find refreshing. Saturn in Aquarius in the 7th house of relationships makes a strong trine (beneficial relationship) to my Gemini Sun. This strengthens my capacity to make lasting relationships on a personal and professional level. I enjoy the collaboration involved in working on the set and I can be counted upon to be very professional. I honor those who have strong ideals and live according to them for Truth and authenticity is important to me. Let me first define who I am for myself, and then maybe, I can define who I am for you! I don't let others in real close very easily. It takes time. Relationships are always tricky for me for emotional intimacy is not something I feel comfortable with. My Moon is in Capricorn in the 6th house. I am a traditionalist at heart, but not in a traditional way. Stability, security and continuity in the home and family relationships was important to me as a child and I felt compromised when this was not in place. I have learned to be emotionally resilient, resourceful and independent. I value things which have history attached to them and which others before me have treasured. I respect people who work with their hands and all forms of craftsmanship. I love objects of beauty around me, especially when they are utilitarian. I love natural products, natural environments, architecture and history. Above all else, I enjoy simplicity. I do not like waste. My Moon in Capricorn brings me back to reality when I am too 'out there' and brings me back into balance when I have been too excessive. I am disciplined, focused and like to work and perfect my craft. I can be counted upon to be consistent and give my absolute best in my work for I have a critical task master within me. I do not need a lot of material things to make me happy. My Leo Rising (Ascendant) loves to make light of life, laugh often and not take myself too seriously. I honor the child within me and love to play. I like to be the center of attention but don't enjoy scrutiny and press coverage. I know how to enjoy myself and engage in things which inspire and rejuvenate me. When I turn on my 'Leo' charm, I am irresistible. I have the generous nature often associated with Leo rising but my Capricorn Moon (which does not like frills and self-absorption) allows me to keep a low profile in this regard. My Leo Ascendant is influenced by the placement of Jupiter in Aries in the 9th house for there is a beneficial connection between the two. Jupiter in Aries in the 9th house speaks of my interest in international travel and peaks my curiosity about all cultures. There's a good chance I will live the majority of my life in a country other than the one I was born in. Freedom is important to me. I know how to remain youthful in my vision. I am attracted to tales, fantasies and myths which personify the hero's journey. I like to keep everything simple and believe that life is an adventure. Jupiter connecting with my Leo Ascendant makes it easy for me to tap into a bigger-than-life vision of whatever character I play. I am lucky, spontaneous and highly original. I am best buddies with my inner child and give him as much rope as I can, for he reminds me of what life is truly about...the adventure, the magical journey - remaining open and unaffected. My Venus and Mercury are conjunct in Taurus in the 10th house (career and public persona). I have a natural affinity with the arts, an eye for beauty, style and quality. I will make my career in the arts and will eventually attract fame and fortune. I will cross paths with many famous people. I am becoming confident in my ability to hold my own in social settings and act appropriately but it always takes work. I am cultured, refined and very down to earth. I will create my own, unique style and it will become my signature. I want to make solid, practical choices in regards to my financial investments. Challenging T-square configuration I have a powerful and challenging pattern, a T-square configuration, involving my Uranus/Mars in Virgo (1st house), which opposes my Saturn in Aquarius (7th house) and squares Mercury/Venus in Taurus (10th house). The tension created by this configuration calls upon me to clarify and integrate my values and responsibilities with regard to: personal and professional relationships and obligations; identifying my career goals are and building and developing my career without compromising my artistic sensitivities; determining how much I am willing to do what is required to satisfy the status quo without losing my own freedom, independence and own values. Intimate relationships are not always easy for me and are somewhat of a dilemma. While I love the continuity and familiarity afforded by a committed relationship, I also crave independence, which includes lots of time doing my own thing. Although I am romantic, I'm not sure I can be there emotionally for someone else on a day to day basis. The routine aspect just doesn't do it for me. It concerns me that I am being too selfish in this regard. I most enjoy the friendship aspect of a close relationship, including the communication and sharing of ideas, ideals and what makes the heart sing. Uranus/Mars/Pluto conjunction in Virgo in 1st/2nd houses. This mentally restless configuration explains the 'quirky' side of my nature, but also my originality. I sometimes have a really short attention span. Although I can get bored quickly, it's also true to say that I am continuously scanning a multitude of ideas running across my radar screen. My physical reflexes and mental capabilities are quick as lightning and I move with grace and agility in my physical body. I attract stress to me but I don't do well with stress. When I'm stressed, I need to get my feet on the earth and do something physical to ground me. I am interested in the psychology of things and understand the mechanics and technicality of just about anything. I like to know how things work. I can be exacting, fastidious and obsessive with details at times. I travel between having very high expectations of others and no expectations at all. I can have a critical nature. Pluto connects well with Capricorn Moon but challenges my Gemini Sun. This combination requires that I be willing to understand my own psychological processes and bring about transformation from facing and working through my emotional issues. I am also figuring out what I need to know about power, particularly in regards to my relationships with men. Neptune in Scorpio (4th house) trines Chiron in Pisces (8th house). I am imaginative, intuitive and emotionally and psychically sensitive. I can feel the undercurrent energies of any place I spend time in so I need to have a safe haven, solitude and privacy. Being near the ocean has a healing effect upon me. I like the process of contemplation and reflection. I have said that I "channel" the characters that I play in movies. People think I am joking. I'm not sure that I am. Neptune challenges my Leo Ascendant. This is where I can be excessive and compulsive and lose myself in whatever I am doing for it affords me the opportunity to escape. The North Node in my chart is placed in the 12th house in the sign of Cancer. My powerful ambitions in my previous life brought my fame and fortune, which I worked very hard for. I learned a lot about power and control. In this lifetime, I am learning about how to surrender to and accept the very 'human' part of my nature. I still have a tendency to see my emotional needs as weaknesses. I know that I must be willing to reach out to others and open up to true intimacy. Once I have done my own emotional work, allowing for healing to take place, I will know how to nurture others and really be there for them emotionally. This involves trust and a willingness to show interest in others, their lives and their dreams and hopes. I will know that I have imbibed the qualities associated with my North Node when I can truly feel what it is to walk in another's shoes, show true compassion, love and nurturing. I am also learning to open up to spiritual guidance and glean the wisdom that comes from aligning my life with the Divine. In the relationship with the Sacred, I am learning about the importance of surrender and Divine timing. I wish I could learn this without feeling so very vulnerable and without having to experience loss.
