Hey to all you campers out there who may have some no longer used sleeping bags!
This winter the students of The New York Public Interest Research Group's chapter at Manhattan Community College will be hosting a Winter Warm-Up Drive to benefit the Coalition for the Homeless, a homeless shelter in downtown Manhattan.
There are currently 33,000 homeless people in New York City. Please make a donation that will help make the cold winter months a little more bearable for those without a warm home. We will accept any clean or new donations that will warm one up throughout our cold New York winters. Examples of donations include, but are not limited to, coats, blankets, sleeping bags, sweaters and sweatshirts.

For the price I was not expecting too much, but I was happily surprised. We have used the bags summer camping in Southern Oregon and Northern California. Temperatures at night were probably never below 40. The kids said they slept warm and comfortable. Bags stuff real small and the workmanship seems good. Great Sleeping Bag With my son being an avid camper, the less bulk and weight he needs to carry on scout trips, the better! He loves this sleeping bag ... it's nice and compact and loves the fact that he can 'stuff' it into the compression sack vs. having to fold and roll it neatly before tying it together, etc. Very warm, attractive looking sleeping bag. Wouldn't hesitate to purchase another if needed or recommend this mummy bag to others. |

Collapsible, stand-alone container ideal for yard waste, debris collectionUnique spring design to hold container openHeavy-gauge vinyl constructionCollapses into convenient 3-inch stack30-gallon capacity; 22-inch diameter; 2-year warrantyCustomer Reviews: Fiskar Kangaroo 30 Gal Garden container The container works great I wish it was larger like a 55 gal would be wonderful. It works! This is a great little container. It stays fully expanded perfectly while dragging it around the lawn, it holds everything you throw in it, is very lightweight, and it stands up well to having leaves stomped down and doesn't loose its shape or fall over. I filled it with leaves about 1/2 way through raking my lawn (I have a number of large oak trees), jumped in and stomped around to make some room, jumped out and continued raking. It has a very nice wide base that allows you to do that without an issue.
Since the base is the same material as the sides, you'll want to avoid dragging it around on pavement, but dragging it around the lawn seems just fine. Gardening contain Wonderful. We wore our old container after 3 yrs. Couldn't find one in stores. so happy we found this one. Also a great gift for Xmas.

Features:
Universal leaf collector; connects to all electric blower/vacsConnects all blowers to trash container for quick leaf collectionMesh cover, plastic hoseIncludes trash container cover, hose, universal coupler8-foot hose; limited 1-year warrantyCustomer Reviews: Not well engineered-some intrinsic problems My experience with this product is as follows:
1. The snap on hose connector kept coming off.
2.The bag tie that secured the bag to the pail didn't seem to be strong enough. The bag eventually slipped off the pail when under pressure even after adjusting it many times.
3. Using this product the blower/vac is connected to a large pail via a relatively short hose, therefore the there is some jostling of the pail. I don't think the product manufacturer took this into account. In my estimation product is a bit flimsy. It must be modified by the user to work properly on a consistent basis.
NOT EFFICIENT AS LISTED This contraption is not in the least bit efficient as was listed in the description. I had to go find connectors, etc. that would make it halfway useful and even then i only used it for about 15 minutes and gave up.
Would not recommend it. Great but not perfect. Tends to pull off of trash can if it has large handles. If you put too much tension on the system, the universal connector pulls off of my leaf blower/vac.
The hose is thick, but it doesn't stretch very well, so you have to (at least in the beginning), keep your can close to where you're working.

You will not find any better pruners. I had bought some cheap $5 pruners from HD and the things literally fell apart with the first use. When i was trimming trees I used these same pruners for about 3 years straight and they are AWESOME! If your reading this then you probably don't need my advice on buying Felcos, your just trying to pic a model. The #f-2's are the standard pruner that my old job, Davey Tree, gave to its arborists. They work great and fit the hand perfect. I would suggest this model unless you've tried others and know what you want. Good Luck and happy Pruning! Best Pruners! These are worth the investment, best pruners around, very sharp, clean and easy cuts. Tried and true. I am an avid gardener and these go with me everywhere. If you are looking for your first pruner this is it and go with an F-2 for shrubs, roses. best value Works perfectly for pruning all the plants in my yard, from roses to hydranges. Highly recommended! |
