Fourth of July marks the high point of summer and is often celebrated with an outdoor barbecue. Don't limit yourself to the good ole American menu of hamburgers and hot dogs. There's lots more to grilling than that. The first task is deciding on a menu that offers something for everyone. If yours is going to be a family affair then take the kids' preferences into consideration.

Mini burritos are easy and quick. Fill a small flour tortilla with a tablespoon of cooked hamburger, shredded chicken, or sliced steak. Add a slice of tomato, a tablespoon of shredded cheese and roll up burrito fashion tucking in the ends so you end up with a nice little package. Grill for a minute or two on each side to heat up the meat and melt the cheese and there you have it. Serve with an interesting salsa of chopped grapefruit, cilantro, onions, jalapeno peppers, and jicama for the adults to munch on as appetizers until the main course is ready. If you don't like grapefruit substitute seedless watermelon.

Most kids love fish sticks so why not serve fish tacos? Brush mild boneless fish fillets like halibut or tilapia with a marinade of lemon juice, minced garlic, minced onion, and a touch of cumin. Grill until the fish is cooked through but not over cooked. About 5 minutes per inch of thickness of the fillet. Cut the fillets into about 4 inch by 2 inch servings. Cover with foil and set on the back of the grill to keep warm, in a warming drawer, or in a 200 hundred degree oven. Set up a taco bar with corn and flour tortillas, toppings of tomatoes, sliced onions, cheese, shredded cabbage, sliced jalapenos, salsa in both mild and hot varieties, cucumbers, chopped cilantro, sweet red peppers, cooked corn, black beans, and pinto beans. Consider putting a sign with a flame and the word HOT in front of any topping that you feel might be too spicy for children.

Your guests including the little ones will have a great time building their fish tacos. If you're not sure everyone will like fish, grill some boneless chicken breasts as an alternative.

Serve a grilled and raw veggie platter with several dips. Try some new vegetables you might not have thought about grilling such as carrots, endive spears, cherry tomatoes, broccoli spear slices, or summer squash slices. Toss the vegetables with a marinade of olive oil, citrus juice, garlic, and herbs for at least an hour before grilling. Use bottled Italian salad dressing if you're in a hurry.

Echo the marinade flavors in the dips you offer. Mix some Italian salad dressing in a cup of cottage cheese add 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese, extra chopped fresh basil and whirl in the blender until smooth.

A quick citrus dip is simply sour cream with lemon, lime, and orange juice. Add a teaspoon of grated citrus peel to boost the flavor with some freshly grated pepper.

Grilled fruit kabobs make a great dessert for both children and adults. Cut peaches, plums, pineapple, in one inch chunks, add seedless grapes and halved apricots. Thread fruit on a short wood skewer and brush with lime juice. You can do all this ahead. The lime juice will keep the peaches from turning brown. Grill over a low fire until grill marks are barely visible. Remove from the grill and brush with a glaze made from equal parts honey and lime juice.

Your little guests will be happy and satisfied until the fireworks start.

How to Relax and Relieve Stress

How often do you feel stressed? If you're like most of us, it's several times a day.

What do you think this is doing to your body? Are you noticing signs of excessive stress in your body or hoping they don't start appearing?

Well most of us are not in a position to simply get rid of the stresses we're under. So how can we deal them so our health is not negatively affected, or how do we help our bodies heal so we can deal with the many stresses we face every day?

The answer for me was tai chi chuan (taijiquan). I started studying 7 years ago and I feel better today than I did 20 years ago. I've learned that just a little regular practice can go a long way toward helping me deal with life's stressful situations and toward making me feel good.

According to several medical research studies, tai chi is a true aerobic exercise. Practicing it will oxygenate your blood and it's one of the many ways tai chi helps your body heal itself.

The focus you'll use while practicing this gentle form of exercise and energy movement also has an incredible impact on lowering your stress level, making you physically and emotionally able to better deal with stress. In effect it raises your resistance to many of the negative affects of stress.

Image yourself in a stressful situation you recently faced. How do you feel? Is your blood pressure elevated? How are you dealing with this stress right now? Remember you're not actually facing it, you're only remembering it.

Now imagine yourself calmly moving in a rhythmic fashion as you relax your body and breathe deeply. Relax, take a moment and imagine this, and then notice how you're feeling. Is your blood pressure down? Are you feeling better? Image how you'd feel if you were actually doing tai chi.

Tai chi has helped me, many people I know, and is more available now than ever before. Take a look around and see if there is a good tai chi school nearby.

The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past; you can't go forward in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches. That's what I say!

This way, you will not waste valuable time with a marketing system that does not generate good traffic sales.

The statistical reports with "numbers" can be misleading. Often times, "hits" are counted in different ways. Just because someone visits your website does not necessarily mean that they read any of the information, or watched your video. The main idea about using website statistics is to use them to identify trends. By doing this, you can gauge your traffic over time to see if the flow is increasing or decreasing.

Looking for trends helps you to recognize if your new marketing campaign is having any major increase or decrease in your traffic flow. Every time a visitor looks at a different page, clicks on a graphic, or clicks on any content within your pages, these are considered "hits". Do not get your statistics confused with hits versus visitors.

2. "Time of Day Activity" is an area in your website's statistics that helps determine what days of the week you have the most action on your site and at what times this happens. It is important for you to know that one of the busiest times for traffic searches on the Internet is that on weekdays, right after lunch time. Knowing the times of day that your website activity spikes also helps you pinpoint more closely where in the US many of your visitors are coming from; the east coast, or the west, etc.

3. The statistics on "Pages" gives you a lot of insight into where everyone is going within your website. Knowing that gives you the opportunity to beef up some of the pages that are not getting a lot of traffic.

4. The Error report will let you know if some people have had problems getting around your site. This report will allow you to fix the bugs or have chats with your web host.

Knowing how to read your statistic reports puts you ahead when making crucial business decisions about your sites and campaigns. The reports are useful tools that can help you find the right marketing approach to get good traffic to your site.

- Start with the 336 x 280 large rectangle. For most people it gets the most clicks!

- A half banner works better in the middle of the page and fits in more spaces.

- For the most part, a half banner is effective at the end of articles and the bottom of blog entries

- If you like rectangles, place them at the beginning of articles.
