THE GOOD GIFT CRITERIA LIST

• is chosen from the heart
• brings joy to both giver and reciver
• brings pleasure instead of awe or embarrassment
• is emotionally, intellectually or spiritually generous
• is useful in the receiver's life
• is extraneous but receiver's life
• is extraneous but fulfils a fantasy or long-standing desire
• is one the recipient wouldn't lavish upon himself or herself
• brings more laughter into the world
• brings more love into the world
• fosters greater health, wealth or compassion
• will last and last
• will be deliciously or memorably devoured in a flash
• saves time
• helps create time out of daily life
• fosters creativity
• says with greater clarity or poety what words cannot say
• is non-polluting
• has no 'hook' or secret agenda
• could only have been given by you to the recipient
• lessens any of life's worries, anxieties, or fears
• cleans the house; mows the lawn; doesn't rattle the cat.

   I think that every good gift should have at least six of the above, A truly fantastic gift can have as many as a dozen.
