Baseball Pitching Tips for Kids Baseball Pitching Tips for Kids by Roger Nelson

Every kid that loves baseball has fantasized about being a great pro pitcher and throwing a perfect game. It’s one of those universal American dreams of little boys everywhere. While dreams like these should never be quashed, its important for responsible adults to teach kids how to pitch a baseball with the correct form and control. Without such guidance, overly enthusiastic children run a real risk of doing damage to their arms, elbows, and shoulder joints when throwing baseballs.

The first thing ever kid needs to learn before he takes the mound to pitch in a baseball game is the correct form. Not only will this give his pitches more power and control, it will also put less strain on the important and vulnerable parts of the body. There are two big keys for baseball pitchers. First, it must be taught to youngsters that effective and safe pitching is powered mainly by the legs, not the arm.

A good training tip is to have players watch several pro baseball games, paying close attention to the form of the pitchers as they wind up and throw. Have them note how the legs are what propel them, and that the arm is really just a means of directing the ball. Kids arent analyzers, and most of them will attempt to pitch a baseball using all arm strength. This is sure path to injury!

The other crucially important aspect of pitching a baseball that must be taught early is the role of the elbow. The natural tendency, especially in kids, is to simply try to throw the baseball as hard as they can each and every time. Again, this invites injury and can actually rob them of speed on every pitch.

The proper form is to train the elbow to lead the hand. The elbow should stay ahead of hand until just before release of the baseball. This takes some practice, but once a child learns to do it without forcing it, he s on the path to better control, more power, and (most importantly) a safe baseball throwing motion.

Caution: in conjunction with this move, baseball pitchers must learn to keep their throwing arm’s shoulder in close to their body. One of the biggest hazards is letting the shoulder jut forward or to the side early in the pitching motion. The elbow moving ahead will put strain on the shoulder joint if it isn’t kept close in. Again, this takes repeated practice, especially for kids for whom baseball pitching is new and whose bodies are not yet under their full control.

A good idea is to impress upon the young pitcher that speed isnt the top priority in good baseball pitching, control is. This serves two purposes. First, it will help you slow him down in order to ingrain the proper and safe movements outlined above. Second, its generally easier to build up speed after control is learned when throwing a baseball than it is to learn control after speed.

Roger Nelson, who began in Little League and coaches baseball players now, knows that getting on base is a key element in winning a game. Pitching machines can help players get that batting practice.Visit http://www.AllaboutPitchingMachines.com.

No BS Domain Names No BS Domain Names by JeffSolochek

They always say that when choosing a domain name use keywords in it but I had to figure it out on my own because no one actually will tell you how to do it. After reading the tip about using keywords I came up with the domain tipsonhowtosavemoney.com vet the truth be told I had created a new keyword because unless somebody actually entered tipsonhowtosavemoney as one word in the search box they would not pull up my domain. I at first thought that the search engines would be able to see the words tips, save and money in my url but that isn't the case. You have to separate the keywords with hyphens.

When my wife and I started web hosting we registered the domains coastal-georgia-hosting ,com and .net. This way anybody who searches on the words coastal or Georgia or hosting will have a good chance of pulling up our domain. In order to get higher rankings the search engines like to see the domain and the title of your site to be the same so the title on our hosting site is Coastal Georgia Hosting. People, companies, who register their company name as a domain are basically reinventing the wheel for instance Bob's Sloppy Joes as bobssloppyjoes.com. They just invented a new keyword.

I figured that people doing a search for hosting providers have a good chance of pulling up our site. The same goes for anybody search on the word Georgia or coastal. When they do a search for both Georgia and hosting at the same time the chances that our site will show up in the results are even greater.

Some experts say not to chose too long of a domain name but I don't buy this. If you choose a domain name that has 15 keywords in it then you have increased your chances that your domain will show up in the results of somebody doing a search on one or two of those keywords. Now if you also use your domain name in the title of your site then your chance are even great that your site will come up more often.

Why Companies Today Are Outsourcing Their Jobs to Foreign Countries Why Companies Today Are Outsourcing Their Jobs to Foreign Countries by John Ugoshowa

Outsourcing is the latest buzzword in the business world today. Because of outsourcing, companies today are becoming more competitive and more efficient in doing their businesses. So, what is it about outsourcing that it is so hot in today’s business world?

First of all, you need to know about outsourcing before rushing in to call other companies and outsource your business process. Outsourcing is a method that a company does by hiring other companies to do the other company’s business process or at least part of the business process in order to save a lot of money and allow the company to concentrate its resources to more important matters.

This is why outsourcing is so popular in the business world today. With outsourcing, you will now able to save your company from spending a lot of money and at the same time, make your company concentrate on more important matters.

Usually, companies outsource their business process to other companies that accepts outsourced jobs in foreign countries. Companies today prefer outsourcing in developing countries, such as Mexico, Philippines, China and India because of the relatively cheap labor in these countries offer.

For example, if your company needs a help desk department in order for your clients reach your company to get their questions answered regarding the products and services they purchased from you, your company will spend a lot of money in creating this department. You will need to purchase computers, get it on a network, purchase help desk software and also hire additional employees to act as help desk representatives. Not only that, you will also devote a significantly large office space in order to accommodate the help desk department. Also, the employees you hire will be asking you for a high salary with full company benefits as a full time employee.

Now that you see how costly it is to create and maintain a help desk department, you should consider outsourcing it to save a lot of money and at the same time, save office space that you can later use for more important company matters.

Outsourcing to foreign countries that has call centers will enable you to cut on operational costs. They will charge you for their services but it will be significantly lower than maintaining your own in-house help desk.

You have to realize how much money you can save if you outsource.

Another vital factor is that your company will be able to divide the business process and let your company concentrate on more important matters, such as marketing, looking for new clients and other money making ventures that your company should prioritize.

The key feature in outsourcing your jobs to foreign countries that charge less is very obvious. With outsourcing, you will be able to save on company expenditures and at the same time, make your company competitive once again in the business world.

However, you should always remember that you should make sure that the company you will be outsourcing your company’s job in should produce a high quality product. In call centers, you should look for a company that employs people who speaks fluent American English with little or no hint that they are from foreign countries and speaks English only as their second language.

So, if you think that you need your company to be more efficient, competitive and save a lot of money, you should consider outsourcing your company’s jobs or part of your company’s job in foreign countries.

Basement Conversions - An Investment Strategy Basement Conversions - An Investment Strategy by Steve Gillman

Basement conversions can be a way to quickly make a home more valuable. Just be sure to do the math before you try this. You should also plan for a few surprises.

Why should you convert basements into living space? Because unfinished basements are the most under-valued space out there. Finish them, and you can quickly and efficiently raise the value of a home. You can even make an investment strategy of buying homes with large unfinished basements, in order to resell them for a profit.

Basements are not common in all areas of the country. They also take many forms, such as the 'Michigan Basement,' which is essentially a hole in the dirt that the house sits over. The basements you want for this strategy are known as 'full' basements, meaning they have the same square footage as the floor above them.

You also want basements that are absolutely dry. Look for damp corners or water stains from previous seepage. Unless you know for sure that you can resolve any moisture issues - and at a reasonable cost - don't buy the house. You also want to check to see if basement space really does sell cheap in your area. Basements, like anything else in real estate, can be valued differently in different parts of the country.

A Basement Conversion Example

Suppose you find a neighborhood where the 1500 square-foot, 3-bedroom homes have been selling for around $135,000, and the 1000 square-foot , 2-bedroom homes without basements are selling for around $90,000.You also notice that 2-bedroom homes with full basements sell for about $100,000 - just $10,000 dollars more for that extra 1000 square feet of unfinished space.

You talk to a contractor. If done simply he can panel the walls, put in two walls for a bedroom on one side, install ceiling tiles, electrical outlets, carpet and two special windows - all for $16,000. He can do it in about two weeks time. The windows make the space legally habitable by allowing an exit in case of a fire.

Other alternatives include a sliding glass door and patio if the land dips low on one side. You might make two bedrooms as well. Put at one end of a basement, two bedrooms require just two new walls. Painting the basement wall without paneling them is possible too, if the cement blocks have a decent appearance. Light colors will brighten up the space.

You wait for the right opportunity, a 2-bedroom home which because it was a rental is dirty. You make an offer of $86,000 and eventually get it for $89,000. You decide on a family room in the basement, with a slider opening to a patio, and one small bedroom as well. This costs you $22,000. With closing costs and one month's holding costs, you now have $114,000 into the property.

You also have a three bedroom home with 2000 square feet of finished space - more square footage than most of the 3-bedrooms in the neighborhood. It takes two months to sell, but you get $139,000 for it. Holding costs added another $1,750 in expenses, a 5% commission cost you $6,950, and other closing costs were around $1300. That means you had a total of $124,000 into the project, giving you a profit of $15,000.

That isn't a large profit, but on the other hand, you are paying people to do all the work. If you find that this strategy can be replicated, you could have several projects going at once.
Another possibility? You could also look for homes with basements to convert in order to get more rent from a property. There are families that need four bedrooms, and a 2-bedroom home could be made to accommodate them. You might not be able to get cash flow by buying a renting out an existing four-bedroom home, but in this way you could have positive cash flow.

The Nuts and Bolts of UNIX Hosting The Nuts and Bolts of UNIX Hosting by John Ugoshowa

UNIX hosting involves a machine configured on a UNIX platform which is a multi-user computer operating system designed primarily for servers and advanced users. UNIX provides the base operating system architecture for many open source companies, such as Solaris (Sun Microsystems), Linux (GNU), and others. In regards to web hosting, choosing the UNIX web hosting alternative has its advantages and disadvantages.

UNIX has been around for years and it was the language of choice for midframe computer users. Windows actually copied the UNIX file naming convention technique when they created Microsoft Windows.

UNIX hosting is cheaper than Windows hosting. Because most web hosts use the free version of UNIX (like Linux), they don't have to compensate for huge overhead expenses which you have with any Windows Operating System. Savings is passed to customers. In addition, those who use UNIX hosting usually get free tools and applications that have been written primarily for the UNIX community. Since UNIX hosting is an 'open system', its source code is publicly available for free from various web sites.

This allows web developers working for various companies and for different purposes to add rapid development of applications quickly. As a result, improvements come fast and problems are quickly resolved.

The main disadvantage of using UNIX hosting is that your provider may only allow access to your account via Telnet or SSH. As are result, you must have a strong working knowledge of UNIX commands in order to customize to your requirements. You may find yourself spending a lot of time learning the basics before you can enjoy the free advantages of UNIX hosting but learning the UNIX language is not that hard at all.

When considering the UNIX operating system and UNIX hosting, you need to consider your own technical abilities. Then take a look at the special features offered by each system and hosting company in light of the available technology and -- sometimes more importantly -- your budget.
