Step 1:
Practice good habits. Poor diet, smoking and too much sun shows up on the skin by making even young skin looked aged. Diets high in Omega-3 oils mean healthy skin and hair. A good source of Omega-3s is oily fish like tuna or salmon. Take antioxidants to fight damage from the environment, and make sunscreen part of your daily care. Look for moisturizers and foundations that include sunscreen.

Step 2:
Clean your skin. Take off all makeup every night before going to bed. Wash skin with fragrance free soap make specifically for faces. If you're prone to breakouts or itchy skin, choose facial cleanser for sensitive skin.

Step 3:
Say no to long hot showers that strip necessary oils from your skin. Think cooler and shorter showers to promote healthy skin. Apply moisturizer when your skin is still damp to lock in moisture.

Step 4:
Moisturize your skin regularly, particularly before going to bed. Choose moisturizer with alpha-hydroxy acids or try a couple of drops of olive oil at night to moisturize skin without leaving a greasy feeling.

Step 5:
Moisturize inside as well. Drink at least eight glasses of water a day to keep your insides hydrated. This translates to glowing skin on the outside.

Step 6:
Give your skin extra care during the winter when dry air can dry out your skin. Consider running a humidifier to increase moisture in the air. Change to a heavier moisturizer.

Step 7:
Exfoliate your skin regularly. Skin is alive and always replenishing itself. Help remove the dead skin with exfoliating products containing oatmeal or special exfoliating mitts.

Tips & Warnings
  • Avoid sun exposure or other harsh treatments after exfoliating to reduce irritation.

Things You’ll Need:
  • Face Wash
  • Benzoyl Peroxide (2.5)
  • Sun Screen
  • Running Shoes
  • Zinc (Vitamin)
  • Flaxseed oil
  • Lemon
  • Asprin

Step 1:
Every morning, wash your face with a gentle cleanser. Choose one that is Non-Comedogenic and Fragrance free. Cetaphil makes a great gentle skin cleanser that is great for all skin types. This one is great because it softens the skin as it cleans. Wash your face only once in the morning and once before bed, over washing can dry out the skin.

Step 2:
Eat a healthy breakfast. A fruit plate, Oatmeal or yogurt are all great choices. It is important to clean the body inside out and a healthy breakfast is a great start. Donuts and coffee for breakfast are not only unhealthy, but the sugars can worsen acne breakouts.

Step 3:
Take Zinc as a dietary supplement. Zinc not only helps maintain a healthy immune system but it also helps maintain healthy skin. Remember to take your Zinc supplement only after eating a meal, if not, you run the risk of irritating your stomach.

Step 4:
Take Flaxseed oil. A table spoon of flaxseed oil has many benefits. One of the benefits is that it helps with inflamation and therefore reduces acne breakouts. Consult your doctor to see if flaxseed oil is right for you.

Step 5:
Exercise. Not only will you lose those extra holiday pounds and get a healthier body but, working out helps with circulation of the blood. Exercising can work wonders for your skin. Remember to wash your face with a gentle skin cleanser after sweating as sweating can aggrevate skin breakouts.

Step 6:
Make an asprin and Lemon Mask. About Once or Twice a week crush 3 asprin tablets and mix it with lemon juice. Mix it well and apply it to the face for about 10 to 15 minutes. The asprin works great to help with any inflammation of the skin and the lemon works wonders to clean out any old acne scars or discolorations. If you find the lemon to strong, you can also substitute with organic honey.

Step 7:
Apply benzoyl peroxide. Try to apply benzoyl peroxide once in the morning and once before going to bed (after washing your face). If you find that benzoyl peroxide dries out your skin, only use once at night. Also, remember that benzoyl peroxide can make your skin sensitive to the sun, so remember to also apply a non comedogenic sun block. Neutrogena makes a great sunblock that is for acne prone skin.

Step 8:
Sleep well. Get as much rest as you can. Many skin breakouts are caused by stress and sleep deprivation can add to both stress and acne breakouts. Get atleast 7 to 8 hours of sleep and you might find that you will wake up to more beautiful skin.

Tips & Warnings
  • wash pillow cases. Bacteria may remain in your pillow cases and this can aggrevate acne breakouts. Wash pillow cases every 2 weeks minimum.
  • Substitute green tea for coffee. Coffee dries out the skin and green tea is a great substitute as it has many health benefits.
  • If Acne is more severe, talk to your doctor about medication, if you are a woman, you might benefit from birth control pills such as Yaz or Ortho tri Cyclen.
  • Be Patient. It takes atleast 2 Weeks to see Results. Dont give up and follow the advice as best as possible.

Things You’ll Need:
  • duct tape
  • nail polish
  • band-aids
  • razor blade

Step 1:
There are a variety of ways to rid yourself of warts. You can visit a dermatologist and have him/her burn or freeze them off. The problem with this method is that it can be painful and expensive.

Step 2:
A cheaper and virtually painfree alternative would be to apply a strip of duct tape over the entire wart. Cover the area with a fleshtoned band-aid. Replace the duct tape every day, or as needed. You should notice your wart shrinking within a day or so. It will likely take up to two weeks for it to disappear.

Step 3:
A quicker method is to paint the entire wart and surrounding area with clear nail polish. Re-apply the polish twice a day or as needed. The fungi will essentially suffocate, as they cannot survive without oxygen.

Step 4:
A final suggestion, but not for the weak of stomach, is to soften the affected area by soaking in warm salt water. Then drying the area and gently using a rasor blade to cut off the top layer of the wart. You should continue this process until the offending fungi is gone. Use extreme caution when trying this technique. Razor blades are very sharp and should be sterilized before touching and after touching your skin.

Tips & Warnings
  • Wash your hands well with antibacterial soap before and after using any of these methods. The wart fungus can spread very rapidly, especially if the wart is compromised with a razor blade.
  • Always use clean instruments.
  • Consult a doctor before trying any of these methods on sensative areas that are affected by warts.

Step 1:
Check to see if any skin irregularities are present. Are there any sores that have developed that have a milky substance (puss) oozing from them. Inspect any recent cuts or abrasions for redness or swelling. Also if there are any boils on the person they can be caused by a staph infection.

Step 2:
Inspect the eyelids. If there is a red painful bump or sty on the eyelid, that can be a sign of a staph infection. Impetigo is also a sign that the a staph infection could be present. These are sores that are present around the mouth and noses of children that cause red skin and blisters.

Step 3:
Learn the persons medical history. People with a history of HIV/AIDS, kidney disease, diabetes, cancer and lung disease can be more susceptible to staph infections. This caused by their other health problems lowers their immune system and makes it easier for a staph infection to become a problem.

Step 4:
Understand there are other factor outside of the medical history that can make a person more susceptible to a staph infection. The elderly, children, new mothers that are breastfeeding, people that use steroids, and people recovering from major surgery are in this group. Also people that frequent athletic facilities and hospitals can be at more risk due to more exposure to the bacteria.

Step 5:
Consult a physician to get a culture taken for testing. This is the best way to determine if a staph infection is present. The culture is usually taken with a large q-tip or a cotton swab.

Tips & Warnings
  • As with any medical condition, please consult a physician as soon as possible.
