Thanksgiving Deep Fried Turkey Recipe How to Deep Fry a Turkey: You will need a completely thawed turkey, a couple gallons of oil, and a very large cooking pot. You can use canola, vegetable oil, but it is better if you use peanut oil. You will also need to truss the turkey, meaning you need to secure the legs, neck flap, wings and tail to the body of the turkey. Make sure that there is not any type of thermometer or device that will pop out on the turkey. It would melt into the oil, not a good thing. To determine the perfect amount of oil you are going to be using, place the turkey in the pot and add water until the turkey is completely covered plus an inch or two left from the top. If you do not have any room for extra water you will need to get a larger pot. You will then remove the turkey and measure the amount of water left, and this is the amount of oil you will need to fry your turkey. You will now dry and season your turkey, and make sure that your frying pot is completely dry. You can add any seasonings you like; I prefer to inject my seasonings directly into the bird. You can also add you cooking pot to your stove top and heat to make sure all water is gone before adding to your outdoor fryer heating source. Once completely dry you will add the oil to the pot and bring it to a temperature of about 375 to 400 degrees. Make sure that you are able to get a good read on the temperature. It may fluctuate a few degrees depending on the weather while cooking outside but it should not be that big a deal. You just want to make sure that you are cooking in a covered but ventilated are. If it is raining or snowing it will make your Turkey frying experience for a really bad day. This is where it gets tricky. The turkey needs to be room temperature and dry. Turn off the burner when you put the turkey in. You are going to lower the turkey into the pot of very hot oil 400 degree oil. The oil is going to splatter some and you will need some very good cooking gloves. They sell different styles of racks to lower your bird into the oil at Wal-Mart, Lowes, and Home Depot. Just remember to very, very slowly lower your turkey into the hot oil. A good method here is dunking your turkey, and I do not mean cannon ball either. When you lower your turkey into the hot oil it will boil up. This is why I suggest turning off the burner or heat source when you do it. You may have to do this multiple times and then one time might do the trick. Just make sure that the oil does not overflow the cooking pot. Once the bird is safely resting in the oil, turn the burner back on to get to a temperature of 350 degrees. At this point you can go take a breather. But don't wander too far because that turkey will be done soon. A deep fried turkey cooks at a rate of about 3 to 3 1/2 minutes per pound. A ten pound turkey should take 30-35 minutes. If you have a bio thermometer you will need to test the turkey for doneness. The internal temperature needs to read 160 to 165 degrees. Make sure you are testing between the thigh area, and not hitting a bone to get a correct read. Remove the turkey from the oil when it's done. Do this slowly and after you have turned off the burner. Let the turkey drain a little bit and you're set to go. Let it rest for about 15 to20 minutes and then carve and enjoy this crisp and delicious bird. Which is the Best Treatment for Adult Acne, Scabs, Pimples and Blackheads One way to deal with adult acne and scabs is to use chemical methods. This includes cleansing your skin with salicylic acid. Use cotton wool to dip into a cleanser which has salicylic acid and use it to clean your face. You should also try out cleansers which have alpha-hydroxy acids or benzoyl peroxide. Cleansers which have these chemicals clean the skin better than regular cleansers. Avoid using cleansers or facial scrubs which have granules or beads. This is because such products are too aggressive for the skin and can cause more damage rather than repair. Use gentle products such as Cetaphil especially if you have sensitive skin. Use facial masks occasionally. Check that the facials you use and ensure that they have as their ingredients: zinc, sulphur and camphor. If you have acute acne, you can use aggressive methods to treat it such as intense pulsed light treatments or laser. These are target methods for skin areas which have been deeply scarred with acne. They are quite expensive but very effective. Laser and light intense treatments work by removing the dead skin cells and helping new skin to resurface. Chemical peel is another method to deal with adult acne. This can be done professionally by a dermatologist or can be done at home. At home, you will be required to buy over the counter drugs which will help in peeling of the top layer of your skin, to expose a better and healthy skin. This can be done through the use of various gels which can be found in a pharmacy which contain retinoic acid. This usually comes in liquid form and applied topically on the affected skin. It then works by removing the dead skin cells on the applied area and unplugging the clogged pores on the skin. It also helps in the production of new skin cells. If you are using salicylic acid or retinoic acid, you should use them at night. This is because using them during the daytime will cause burns on your skin due to the sun. It will also be prudent to make sure that you use sunscreen during the day when you are under these two treatment regimens to prevent your skin from scalding. It would be advisable to see a doctor who will prescribe the best method to deal with acne. This is because acne is caused by hormonal imbalance in the body. A doctor will be able to prescribe something that will help to create hormonal balance in your body. After balance is achieved, the acne usually clears itself out over time. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle will cause acne to reduce. It is important for you to eat healthy, exercise regularly and take lots of water. Also ensure that you get adequate rest and sleep. Keep this up for at least two months and you should be able to see remarkable change in your skin condition. Get your eBook today and eliminate the acne on your skin here: Acne Free in 3 Days

Exercise - Your Second Month Running
Author: Lana Soko You read the previous articles on how to get motivated, how to start running and your first month. If you haven't you really need to read those first. So, you've been running for a month. You've followed the schedule for the first 4 weeks, you're still motivated and you're beginning to feel the benefits of feeling fitter. Well wait to you get to the end of this month, as hopefully you will manage one run of 30 minutes without stopping, but really don't worry if you don't. As we said in a previous article, depending on your age and fitness level, we all progress at different rates, so don't increase the rate of training if you don't feel comfortable to do so. Just repeat the same week over again, and the distance only when you are ready. But please, if you have still not yet checked with your Doctor or Physician, please do so first before running. Running is both about getting fit and can also be about losing weight and burning fat if that's your goal. You will burn more fat than swimming or cycling, 100 calories per mile, roughly, and it's doesn't take that long. Lowering cholesterol and your blood pressure as well. Remember to try to keep your route on reasonably flat ground. One steep hill at this stage, will be too difficult. Stick to the pavement or sidewalk if you can. Even running on grass can sap the energy from your legs. OK, we're ready to progress to week 5. You're going to be out of the front door a little longer than last month, only about 10 minutes or so, but it will be worth the effort. Previously you were doing sessions about 3 times a week. You now need to step this up to 4 times a week. OK so week 5. Walk for the first couple of minutes as before to warm up. On week 4 you were running for 7 minutes, so this week you'll run for 8 minutes. Then repeat 3 further times, ie. Walk for 2 minutes then jog for 8 minutes. For week 6, you'll again walk for two minutes and then jog for 9 minutes, repeating three times. At week 7, move up to 11 minutes. Now on to week 8. If you managed to follow the schedule so far great, your target for this week is a 30 minute run at the end of the week. If you haven't kept up, do not feel bad or demotivated. Just progress at your pace, and believe me you will get there. So walk for about 5 minutes, and then jog for about 20 minutes with another short walk and a further jog, the second jog does not have to be 20 minutes again if that's too much. The goal here is to jog for 20 minutes without stopping. In the next session, move onto 25 minutes then when you can do your first 30 minute run without stopping. After a 30 minute run, that's enough! No need to repeat. Just walk home to cool down. So well done. Follow the cooling down exercises from our earlier article and get ready for Month 3.
