KLAUDIA OLEJNIK

AGE: 20 | HEIGHT: 5'7" | HOMETOWN: AURORA, ON



Born in Poland and raised in Toronto, Klaudia is a hard working and enthusiastic 20 year old. She graduated from Cardinal Carter High School with honours and a member of the principal's list.

She is currently finishing her third year at the Schulich School of Business-York University and working towards obtaining a designation in Chartered Accounting. Her interest in the financial markets is also reflective in her work as an Analyst in the York Investment Club.

Klaudia became a Chess Champion at a young age and has won the York District School Board award for Outstanding Leadership. Despite that, Klaudia considers her most important achievement to be her own personal growth, which is no more evident then in her work with children with special needs. Not only is it extremely humbling and rewarding, but it is within this context that she has acquired the transferable leadership and teamwork skills that are essential to her success.

Klaudia believes that it is important to seize every moment and every opportunity- but most importantly to reflect upon your present blessings. Although never anticipating becoming a part of such a competition, Klaudia is thankful for the experience and has considered the journey to be a life changing experience.

 The new Miss Canada Universe 2008 will be crowned next Monday, April 28th.The competition will take place at The Winter Garden Theatre in Toronto.
The Preliminary competition will be on Saturday April 26th @ 8:00pm and the Final Show and Crowning on Monday April 28th @ 7:30pm.

 14 km away from the center of Nha Trang city to the South is the Nha Trang Tourism and Entertainment Area (Diamond Bay). Located on Nguyen Tat Thanh Boulevard, this area connects Nha Trang city and Cam Ranh airport. With a campus of 180 ha, this zone will be a largest tourism and entertainment area.

The area's climate is cool and temperate so it is ideal for tourism development. The projects of this Tourism and Entertainment Area will be finished in 2015. At present, some of categories are on the way of completing to serve for Miss Universe Pageant 2008.

A typical building is Crown Convention Centre 2008 having the area of 10, 000 square meters. This is the stage work on the largest scale ever in Vietnam with a stage of 1, 500 square meters. This 7, 500-seat center is equipped with an up-to-date audio and lightning system directly imported from US.
 

The final of the Miss Universe 2008 is scheduled to take place in Nha Trang City of Vietnamese central Khanh Hoa province on July 14, local newspaper Young People reported Friday.

    Over 80 candidates will come to Vietnam from June 15 to participate in a series of social and cultural activities such as sightseeing, fashion show and raising charity funds in capital Hanoi, Nha Trang, southern Ho Chi Minh City and southern Binh Duong province.

    The final will be organized at the 7,500-seated Crown Convention Center which is rapidly being constructed with investment of 7 million U.S. dollars. Vietnam's Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company is tasked to design and produce the crown for Miss Universe 2008, with estimated expense of 200,000-250,000 U.S.dollars.

    To host the event, Vietnam is estimated to spend a total of some 15 million dollars covering the pageant's royalty, and manpower and infrastructure expenses.
