According to Confucius a woman’s job was only to do the housework and to have children. During traditional China, society forced women into the practice of binding feet. This was an inhumane, unjust act but according to society at that time if the women did not have their feet bound, they would be considered ugly and barbaric. Most women were only merchandise or objects that could be sold our bought depending on the decision of their father or even husband. In traditional China before the revolution the attitude toward women reflected its traditions, religion, and society.
“As soon as the daughters grew old enough to be married off to her husband’s family, she creates an economical loss to her family.” (Chinese Women’s Status in Traditional China, P. 1) Women were thought of as lower class just for being women. They were extremely discriminated against. They could be bought as if they were slaves, and most people sold them for money! “But there were som Many thanks : http://www.exampleessays.com

Our body is made up of cells, which is the body’s basic unit of life. Usually cells grow, divide, and produce more cells as needed to keep the body healthy. Sometimes this process can happen to rapidly and the body produces more cells than needed. The mass of unneeded cells forms a growth called a tumor. Not all tumors are detrimental to one’s health. Tumors can either be benign or malignant. Benign tumors are not cancerous. They can often be removed surgically. Once a benign tumor is removed, it does not return. They are rarely a threat to life. Malignant tumors, on the other hand are cancerous. These cancerous cells can break away and break apart the surrounding tissue. These cells can enter the blood stream and invade other parts of the body through a process Manythanks: http://www.exampleessays.com
Global Warming: Its effect on our atmosphereThe phrase ‘global warming’ has become familiar to many people as one of the most important environmental issues of our day. Being kept warmer may sound appealing to those who live in cool climates, but an increase in global temperature will lead to a global climate change. If the change was small and occurred slowly, than we would be able to adapt to it, but with the world’s industry changing so rapidly it is hard for the environment to do just that.
The earth’s surface temperature has risen about 1 degree Fahrenheit in the past century and increased warming during the past two decades. Global warming refers to an average increase in the Earth’s temperature, which in turn causes changes in climate. Energy from the sun drives the earth’s weather and climate, and heats the earth’s surface and in turn the earth radiates energy back into space. Greenhouse gases, such as water vapor, carbon dioxide, and other gases, trap some of the outgoing energy, retaining heat. Without this natural greenhouse effect temperatures would be much lower than they are now. This is how problems arise when greenhouse gases increases. The basic idea of global warming can be explained by “considering the radiation energy from th Many thanks: http://www.exampleessays.com
Environment and HealthA clean and healthy environment is part and parcel of the wealth and quality of life that we desire for ourselves now and for our children in the future. People demand that the air they breathe, the water they drink, and the food they eat is free of pollution and contaminants; they want to live undisturbed by noise, and they want to enjoy the beauty of the countryside, unspoiled coastlines and mountain areas. They also want a world that is not threatened by climate change.
Healthy and balanced natural systems are essential for supporting life on this planet. Society relies on nature to provide us with the resources for our survival: air, water, food, fibers, medicines, and building materials. Children need to grow up aware of the nature around them. As human beings we have a responsibility to preserve the actual value of nature both for ourselves and for future generations. In recent decades, there has been a growing realization that the quality of our air, water, soil, and food affect the quality of our health and of our lives. This ranges from increased allergies, respiratory disease, and cancers to the disorder of the body’s hormone and fertility systems, and premature death. The causes of our various environment-heal Manythanks : http://www.exampleessays.com
