Following Phase 1 for two weeks kick-starts your weight loss. You'll eat normal-size portions of lean meat, fish, eggs, reduced-fat cheese, nonfat yogurt, nuts, and plenty of vegetables. Snacks and desserts are part of the plan, as well.

South Beach Diet Phase 2 Next, you'll move on to Phase 2, where you'll learn to reintroduce the right carbs, such as whole grains and most fruits. Some indulgences are allowed. You should continue to lose weight on Phase 2 until you reach your goal.

The South Beach Diet follows the same principles of other diets based on the Glycaemic Index. When we've eaten, the carbohydrates in food get broken down into sugars, which are then absorbed into the blood causing a rise in blood sugar. In response, the hormone insulin is released from the pancreas to remove the sugar from the blood.

Carbohydrate-rich foods with a high glycaemic index, like bagels, cornflakes, white bread and jacket potatoes cause a rapid rise in blood sugar, resulting in the release of a large amount of insulin to deal with this. This causes blood sugar levels to drop rapidly, leaving you lacking in energy, craving more carbs and quickly feeling hungry so that you eat again. If this pattern is frequently repeated, you're likely to gain weight as a result a constantly overeating. But on top of this, over time the body becomes resistant to the action of insulin and when this happens, the body becomes more effective at storing fat - especially around our middle! No surprises then that to lose weight, foods with a high GI are out!

In contrast, carbs with low glycaemic index such as pasta, pulses and porridge slowly release sugar into the blood, providing a steady supply of energy and leaving you feeling satisfied for longer. This means you get fewer carb cravings, don't constantly feel hungry and so are less likely to overeat. Plus there's less chance that your body will become resistant to the effects of insulin with the result that it continues to burn fat efficiently. Foods with a low GI are therefore recommended if you want to lose weight.

Congratulations! You are the president of your own nation, and it is called 'Imagination'. This particular nation is the driving force behind your life and is the underlying factor for your future. You need to realize that you have an enormous responsibility as the President of this Nation, because you need to always focus on the future and strive to have the ultimate nation. You need to internalize the power you have as the President of your own nation. Among many things that you have is the power to choose and/or consider. As I have written about in the past, you must create and begin to maximize your mastermind team. As the President, you will inspire others to create other phenomenal imaginations of their own. The world needs many people who are proud of their own 'Imagination'.

Each of us has the ability to imagine such powerful dreams for our future, which can change the destiny of millions of people. Let's think about a few people who had unreal imaginations -- Henry Ford imagined an 8-cylinder car and then achieved it. The Wright Brothers imagined men could fly and then discovered a way to make that possible. John F. Kennedy said that we would have a man on the moon and then achieved it. Ask yourself right now, 'Where did they all dream of those achievements first?' The answer to that question is...They did their dreaming in their own nation called Imagination! You need to take some personal time and evaluate how you are handling your nation. Are you proud of what you are imagining you can be or what you can do? If you answer that question truthfully, you will either be enthused or disillusioned. You truly need to re-examine your nation. I suggest that you brainstorm, which means to take some time for yourself and just write down all the dreams that you have but never even wrote down. I also recommend that you write down 100 of them and then put them away for 2 days so that they can sink in a little. When you go back and read them, your inner spirit will direct you to the one that you need to focus on and begin to design with your own 'Imagination'. Each of us is empowered to create wealth for ourselves in every aspect of life -- spiritually, physically, and financially!

I challenge you right now to utilize your God-given imagination and imagine whatever you want to be then you will empowered to run your nation in the most productive methods possible. This alone will entirely change your life for the better, because now you have a responsibility as a President of a nation - your 'Imagination'.

If you want to grow your prospect list to huge numbers quickly and easily, you need to be using the name squeeze technique.

There is traffic and then there is targeted traffic. Anybody can get lots of hits to their site. The trick is to separate the browsers from those that are actually interested in your product, service, or opportunity. An easy way to do this is to build a teaser page. This is a page with basic info about your product, service, or opportunity. It gives just enough info to make visitors want to know more.

How do they find out more? Good question!

You place a form on your teaser page that asks visitors to provide their name, email, phone number(s), or whatever info you want to know about them. When the visitor fills out a form they are directed to your main site, but now you have all of their info. This info can be immediately added to auto responders to continue to drip information on the visitor via email. You can ask for phone numbers and follow up with each visitor who requests info. Calling visitors back, in my opinion, is very key. It doesn’t have to be a sales call, but if you call to introduce yourself and let the visitor know that there is an actual person behind the site, it will go a long way to getting them buying into your products, services, or opportunity. You can collect their mailing address and send them printed material as well. Bottom line, is that you now not only have visitors, but you have leads. Targeted leads with email, phone, address, etc. that you can contact any way you like.

A better name for a teaser page, is a capture page. This is because it allows you to capture all of your targeted traffic info so you can follow up with them however you like.

The more quickly you follow up with your new lead the better. If you can catch them while they are still browsing your site, they will not only be amazed, but you increase your chances at turning this high qualified lead into an actual sale.

This name squeeze technique is an easy, inexpensive way to start collecting live, targeted leads that you can add to your contact list. Sales, whether it be a product, service, or opportunity is all about numbers. The more numbers you have in your contact list, the more money you will make in the long run. If those in your list are also highly targeted as the name squeeze technique helps them to be…..your income will skyrocket!

This can't possibly be intentional. Management hires what they expect will be an appropriate addition to the team. They train this employee, teaching not only the requirements of the job as a function, but also the inner workings of the organization itself. They expose the employee to customers, vendors, and co-workers, maybe even key financial relationships. The employee gains tremendous knowledge specific to the company and how it works, with all the ups and downs of the organization. Years and years, and thousands upon thousands of dollars go by.

One day the employee says to himself or herself, 'I've got to get out of here… I'm not growing. My ideas are not being considered. I haven't had a performance review in ages. I'm not recognized or appreciated. I'm not being paid what I know I'm worth. There's no consideration given to the dramatic amount of money I'm saving for the company.' And thus the company loses another top performer. Only the mediocre employees stick around. What a waste of money and time! Does this sound familiar?

The problem can be fixed from the top. (It probably also started there.) Many organizational managers have found themselves in leadership roles quite by accident. They were top performers on a technical level themselves, and either became supervisors by promotion or by ownership. This does not make them inherently good and productive managers of people. Put corrective action in place!

Make sure the organization has a solid set of job descriptions for all roles in the company, including the top positions. Make sure that performance appraisals are performed on a regular scheduled basis, not just when someone begs for a raise. Document performance carefully, both positive and negative. Be creative, fair, and ethical with rewards and punishment. Not all rewards cost money! People measure success in a variety of ways: growth, environment, and satisfaction. Do you know what motivates your people? Indeed, they may measure success in entirely different ways than expected. Be systematic and organized in communicating with your people. Know the parameters of fair compensation in the marketplace.

Managers need to take a hard look at themselves and their company processes when hoping to retain the best people. The 'human assets' are probably one of the most expensive budget items in the operation of the business. Don't invest in them, only to lose that investment through lack of management disciplines. Don't grow 'em, only to throw 'em, away…
