In work shoes & casual shoes, I normally wear an 8 or an 8.5 With running shoes or hiking shoes, when I'll likely be wearing thicker socks, I always go for an 8.5 or a 9. I got a 9 in these, and with my thick socks, they fit fine, still with a bit of room at the toe (which is perfect after a long hike). Feels as comfy as a good sneaker, with lots of ankle support, and has fairly rugged traction. Looks cute & feminine, too - no more ugly hiking boots!

I have to admit, these sandals took a few days to get used to wearing. The insoles are initially a little slick because it's leather and it has to 'meld' with your foot. I resolved that issue quickly by wading in the lake for a minute or two then wearing them the rest of the evening. I was attracted to these sandals because it seems I buy multiple pairs of cheap, rubbery flip-flops every Spring and they wear out fairly quick and they just don't have any support. Also, I hated it when my foot would slide out at the worst times! Rainbows are appealing to look at as well. The narrow strap looks very nice on my wide Flintsone-like feet. The extra support at the arch makes them very comfortable.

The boot is good quality for the money. The fitting is accurate, and the boot is comfortable.

My one complaint is that they smell awful. The manufacturer bags each boot within the box and there is a very strong oil odor on the boots. It is so bad my wife makes me keep them in the garage rather than the closet. Out and about the smell is not noticeable, but in an enclosed closet the smell certainly is bothersome.
