Keen Google Adsense affiliates will quickly notice that not all traffic they receive at their Adsense site is click-happy traffic.

There will be times when a very high percentage of the traffic received at the Google affiliate site will end up clicking on the Adsense ads displayed. There will be other times when hardly a soul will click on any of the ads.

Closer examination will usually reveal a fascinating and yet obvious fact. And that is the more tightly targeted the traffic, the more clicks you will tend to receive.

This simply means that it is very possible to receive a fraction of the traffic that another site receives, but simply because of how tightly targeted your traffic is, you could easily end up receiving many more clicks and much higher Adsense earnings. There are even cases where the other site may have three or four times the kind of traffic that your site has and yet you will enjoy more clicks and much higher Adsense earnings.

This clearly illustrates the fact that many webmasters and blog owners quite often end up receiving a large percentage of curious rather than interested visitors. In a way this cannot be avoided because most search terms will hardly produce results that are anywhere near 100 per cent accurate. In fact search results and the improvement of search results is at the center of the current fierce and ongoing battle between leading search engines.

While curiosity is a powerful marketing tool that can be used to get visitors to click more at your Google affiliate Adsense ads ads (see other article by this author- direct to webcontent blog) this strategy will hardly work when a vast majority of the visitors you attract to your site are not really interested in the subject at hand. Yet many webmasters keen on receiving high traffic for the sake of high traffic have often used tactics that tend to trick people to make their way to their sites. This strategy hardly makes sense and the Google affiliate Adsense program illustrates this fact rather brutally.

So how does a Google affiliate site attract highly targeted traffic? It is important that before even embarking on the mission of attracting targeted traffic, that you ensure that your site or blog is tightly targeted at a certain audience and that your content clearly reflects this. This is the only way that you will be able to attract the sort of Adsense ads that will be of interest to your visitors. A common mistake with many is to have a site that is just too general which also attracts Adsense ads that are too general.

One of the most effective ways of ensuring or guaranteeing targeted traffic to your site or blog is to give your visitors a sneak preview of your contents. Let them read sample articles of what they will find at your site. The way to do this is to distribute your articles to high traffic article directories and sites. These sites will publish your articles free and will also include your resource box at the bottom which will give details about you complete with the url to your site or blog.

Some folks will read your article and not visit your site. Which is okay because what should really matter to you is receiving targeted traffic. Actually only a small fraction of the people who read your article will end up at your site, but the good news is that the people who do end up at your site will be very interested in what you have to offer and will tend to spend a long time at your site. This is the sort of traffic that any webmaster or blog owner would easily kill for.

Of course there are other factors that are important for you to achieve success here. For example your content will have to be very well written. This need not be expensive if you are hiring an online writer as we have various low cost options that will give you quality content.

Whatever you need to do will be well worth the effort because using this method, the visitors whom you end up with at your site will tend to continually and perpetually click at your Adsense ads. Cuasing your Adsense earnings to rise steeply. Which is exactly what you want to happen. But then there is plenty more you can do to increase your volume of visitors and ultimately the clicks at your sites and your Adsense revenue.

For insurance companies, deciding how much to charge any given individual for life cover is all about calculating the level of risk involved in insuring them. Insurance companies assess this risk by taking medical histories and collecting information about lifestyles, physical health and other factors. Looking after your health, therefore, is one of the best ways of reducing the cost of life cover-and the smoking habit is one of the single biggest lifestyle factors that drive the cost of insurance up.

The Higher Cost of Life Insurance

The average smoker will pay at least 40% more for life cover than they would if they were a non-smoker. Some insurance companies are more forgiving than others, but depending on the company you choose, you could pay up to 55% more for your life insurance. Being a smoker affects all forms of life and health based insurance, including critical illness cover and income protection.

Quitting cigarettes can amount to huge savings on your life insurance premiums. For example, a 35 year old male smoker with a policy benefit of £100,000 might pay £19 per month for the cover, whereas a non-smoker might pay only £10. Over twenty years, the non-smoker pays £2,400 for their life cover, while the smoker pays £4560 - that's an extra £2160 over twenty years. That may not seem like much, but when you consider that the average British smoker spends £1,500 a year on cigarettes, quitting smoking for any reason adds up to sizable savings and lower insurance premiums are the icing on the cake.

Getting your Premiums Reduced

If you're currently a smoker paying these astronomical prices for life cover, you can still reduce your premiums to a more affordable level. Most life insurance companies require that a smoker who has recently quit must remain a non-smoker for a full year before requesting an evaluation of their premium to take their new non-smoking status into account.

Don't think you can fool your insurance company into thinking you're a non-smoker when you haven't given up, however. Ex-smokers who want to switch to a non-smoking premium rate will have to fill out a new application form, go through another medical exam, and relate their recent medical history as well. Your insurer may even request that you take a cotanine test to prove your non-smoking status. Any false information invalidates the policy, and as with all types of insurance, absolute honesty is the only way to go.

Take the Opportunity to Shop Around

Remember that if you decide to have your status as a non-smoker evaluated to reduce the premiums on your current policy, this will be a good time to shop around and see if you can find an even better policy elsewhere. The best savings might not even be with your current insurance provider, and you might be able to save even more money by checking out your options.

Interestingly enough, kicking a smoking habit can even save you money on your home insurance. With more than half of home fire claims attributable to cigarette-related causes, non-smokers can save on home insurance premiums, too.

It only takes a few minutes to compare term life insurance quotes from as many as twenty insurers with premiums calculated at discount rates. We sacrifice most of your commissions to reduce the premiums you pay to major insurers like Norwich Union

Good skin care plays an important role in treating acne. Following these skin care guidelines—unless your dermatologist instructs otherwise—can help improve treatment results:

  1. Do NOT pop, squeeze or pick at acne.
This can make acne worse by spreading inflammation. With medical treatment, removing lesions is rarely necessary; however, when comedo removal is needed, it should be performed by an experienced healthcare professional.

  2. Gently wash your face twice a day with a mild cleanser and pat dry.
Acne is not caused by poor hygiene, and vigorous washing and scrubbing will not clear your skin. In fact, all that scrubbing can irritate your skin and make acne worse. The way to clear acne is with appropriate acne products and good skin care.

  3. Use “noncomedogenic” (does not clog pores) cosmetics and toiletries.
When buying cosmetics and other products that you will use on your skin or hair, be sure to look for ones labeled “noncomedogenic.” Makeup, sunscreen and toiletries that are not likely to cause acne state that they are “noncomedogenic” on the product.

  4. Avoid aggravating your acne.
Oily hair, sporting equipment that rubs against your skin and airborne grease—all can irritate and make your acne worse. Ways you can avoid these situations include:

  • If you have oily hair, keep it off your face and wash it daily.

  • Avoid using hair care products that contain oil, such as pomades and gels.

  • Wear cotton clothing or moleskin under sporting equipment to avoid skin-to-equipment contact.

  1. Give acne products enough time to do their job.
Ask a dermatologist (or pharmacist) how much time is needed for each particular product to work. This way you’ll know when you can expect to see clearing and not stop using the product(s) before you see results. As a rule of thumb, it takes 6 to 8 weeks before you begin to see an improvement.

  2. Use medications as directed.
Using more medication than directed will not improve results. In fact, it can make acne worse by aggravating the skin. Be sure to read all labels and use accordingly or as instructed by a dermatologist.

  3. Avoid excess exposure to sunlight, and do not use tanning booths or sun lamps.
Contrary to popular belief, tanning does not clear acne; it simply masks acne. Tanning also increases one’s risk of developing melanoma and other skin cancers. Additionally, some acne treatments can increase the skin's sensitivity to sunlight and ultraviolet light from tanning booths and sun lamps. If you have acne, it is important to protect your skin by following sun-protection practices, such as wearing sunscreen and avoiding sunburns.

5 Tips from Experts

What type of homemade acne treatments work for your skin?

Experts all over the world specializing in skin and related disorders are of the opinion that acne treatments should have their base in correct food habits and proper hygiene. In recent times many over-the-counter drugs have been found that could tackle the problem of acne. But in some cases these are seen to be not very effective prompting people to take the help of homemade remedies. Cures discovered in your home’s comfort are not only cheap but effective too.

Tips 1

If you have a good diet, sleep properly and exercise regularly be assured that half your battle is won. Apart from this keeping your skin clean is absolutely essential and you could do this with the help of cotton dipped in alcohol. This is beneficial in killing the bacteria and also for cleansing the pores thoroughly. But make sure not to overuse alcohol or repeat this process often as this can lead to skin irritation or the skin can also start peeling.

Tips 2

According to experts an overtly oily skin should be treated with an oatmeal mask to get good results. Oatmeal when mashed not only acts as a great scrub but also effectively soaks away the excess oil from your face. The usage of oatmeal paste must be followed by a cold water rinse that helps in contracting the pores.

Tips 3

Other homemade acne treatments involve the usage of honey with apples where grated apple is mixed with honey and this paste needs to be made to dry on the face for a stretch of 15- 20 minutes after which warm water should be used to wash it off. This procedure can be followed twice or thrice a week depending upon the skin type of the person in question.

Tips 4

Besides using fruits, experts are of the opinion, that herbs can also help you attain a pimple-free complexion. Herbs like burdock, sarsaparilla and yellow dock can act overnight on your pimples and bring them to a more manageable state. Tea tree oil is most preferred when it comes to handling a sudden outbreak. The antiseptic properties of tea tree oil cures the affected spots in very little time.

Tips 5

Apart from having a great diet and applying magical concoctions it is important for you to have a daily intake of vitamins. Tests carried out by experts have proved that an intake of five thousand international units of vitamin A each day can actually decrease pimples. Vitamin B6 makes the skin more tenacious and consequently reduces the chances of a pimple outbreak. Zinc, in mild doses, if taken before an outbreak, can prevent acne from happening.

The next time you think you’re getting an outbreak make sure to follow the simple homemade acne treatments mentioned above and see for yourself the changes that consequently take place.
