A hinge, please. 
If you are strong, and don't mind using muscle when trying to pry open one of the panels of this thing, the safe play yard does its job. However, like too many safety products that are made without much thought to who will actually be using them (i.e., mothers who are often sleep deprived...bless their souls), this product has a seriuos design flaw: it has no lock/unlock mechanism. What you need is brute strenght to pry the panel up and out, and when the baby is safely in the yard, you need to, again, lift and pry it back into place. Not the most user friendly design I've seen. Summer Infant has another product that does have a door, which we subsequently purchased.
Kind of disappointed, but it works 
The gate works great, but when it arrived a peice at the bottom was broken. Luckily, nothing vital for it to work. It is very difficult to remove panels if you want to as well. The strap to hold it together doesn't work either. I don't know if it is missing a peice or what. But, if you just use it as it came, it works fine. Just don't try to modify it.
Exactly what I was Looking For! 
I have been very pleased with the Summer Infant Secure Surround Play Safe Play Yard. I think it's wonderful that it can be used right out of the box without any tools for assembly; all I had to do was unfold. Also, it's light enough for me to fold and transport from room to room. I wouldn't recommend this if your looking for something for a large dog, but for small children or pets I think it's perfect.
