Great work, from a excellent photographer... 
Simply a great book simple enough for the aspiring, resourceful for the advance, and inspiring for the pro-photographer, excellent reading and great addition to any camera bag, Mr. Kelby, is well verse in this matters and it show.
A good pre-shoot planning tool
I found the book to be easy to read through for a first time. And because of how it is broken into meaningful chapters and indexed, it is easy to reference back to particular subjects of interest. I plan to use it as part of my pre-trip planning on my photo shoots. Even for issues I am already familiar with, this book is a good memory refresher.
Scott Kelby Does It Again
If you have the first volume and want to learn more, buy Volume 2. This book is full of down-to-earth practical advice. It is also laced with Scott's unique humor. Even though Scott doesn't take himself very seriously, he does take his photography seriously.
I consider myself to be an advanced amateur but I picked up many practical tips from this book.
