The Palm Springs Tram Road Challenge is one of the toughest road races in the country. Starting near sea level and climbing to 2,643' in only 3.6 miles, it is a brutal course. On October 13th of 2007, Tim VanOrden won the race by over thirty seconds, and became the first person to break the 30 minute barrier on this course in over 5 years.
