Coriander Herb With root
Sources It is from Coriandrum sativum L.(family Umbelliferae). The
whole herb is used as medicine, cultivated in all parts of
chine, customarily called'xiang ca'.
Characteristics
Coriander herb with root: It has a strong fragrance, with
numerous tributary roots. The stem is erect, hollow. The leaves
are alternate, the basal leave and leaves at the lower part of
stem with long handles and sheath, involute stem. The leaf is
decompound pinnately compound leaf or ternate compound leaf,
cleft; the top leaves are strip-shaped, finely
cleft. The compound umbel is terminal, without anthodium.
Acrid in taste,warm in nature,attributive to lung and spleen
channels.
Pharmacological Actions:
1. Antioxidation.
2. Antivitamin deficiency.
3. Like the effect of choice.
Indications:
Inducing diaphoresis, promoting skin eruption, improving
digestion, keeping the adverse energy downwards. It is used for
measles without adequate eruption ,retention of food.
Administrations: 3-6g.
