Japanese dancer Yuka Sugiura, who moved from Nagoya, Japan to Brazil, performs for the Unidos da Vila Maria's samba school during their Carnival parade in the Sambadrome in Sao Paulo February 1, 2008. The Unidos de Vila Maria samba school is marking the 100th anniversary of the arrival of the first Japanese immigrants, who arrived on board a ship on June 18, 1908 to work on coffee plantations.
