After years of development International Harvester introduced the Farmall tractor in 1924. It was a smaller general purpose tractor and the first in the U.S. to use a tricycle-like design, which could be used on tall crops such as corn and cotton.
In 1940 Farmall H tractors were originally available with all-steel wheels and full rubber. World War Two requirements forced many farmers to be satisfied with steel wheels. This Farmall is in Maine.
