When the child of a gurung family becomes 5 or 6 months gurungs celebrate food feeding festival. this is the first time when the child is introduced with the food. A small gal feed him first with the help of silver spoon or gold coin, then the family members and relatives. Relatives and family give him money, cloths and gold gifts.
