Desperate Housewives Star Filming in Canada by Groshan Fabiola

James Denton, who plays Mike Delfino on hit television series Desperate Housewives, flew to Ottawa, Canada on June 18th, Monday, to shoot scenes for an upcoming movie of the week entitled Custody of the Heart.

The said film is being produced through Ottawa?s Sound Venture International and Montreal?s Muse Entertainment's collaboration and chronicles the story of John Sullivan, who is played by Denton. Sullivan is a high-flying man who is trying hard to gain the love of his 13 year old daughter whom he had just met. Allison Graham joins the cast of Custody of the Heart, playing Audrey.

The Desperate Housewives star is a 44 year old actor hailing from Tennessee. He has graced the television screen even before landing his current role on the hit show, appearing in The Pretender, JAG, Philly, The Drew Carey Show, Reba, Threat Matrix, Two Guys and a Girl, Ally McBeal and The West Wing. He has also appeared on the big screen, working in productions such asFace/ Off, Primary Colors and the recently completed Undead Or Alive: A Zombedy.

Directed by Nadia Tass, Custody of the Heart isn't the only pressing reason why Denton flew to Canada. According to the actor's website, his other film project entitled Tortured, also began filming in Vancouver in May. The film includes Laurence Fishburne (as accountant Archie Gold), Jon Cryer, and Cole Hauser (as FBI Agent Kevin Cole) aside from Denton, who fills in the role of NBI supervisor. Nolan Lebovitz is director for the movie, and Adam Lebovitz, Kirk Shaw and Mary Aloe are in charge of production. The release date isn't exactly specified, however it is set to come out next year.

After Custody of the Heart, which ends its filming in Ottawa on July 6th, Denton will head back to the United States to start shooting Desperate Housewives' fourth season, which is set to premiere late September.
