Drink Tea for TEA-riffic health!
The most highly consumed beverage in the world is water. No. 2 is tea. Tea is full of health-producing, disease-reducing, anti-aging antioxidants. The Chinese have known about the health benefits of green tea since ancient times, using it to treat ailments such as headaches, stomach disorders and depression, to name just a few. Cultures that drink tea have been shown to have much lower levels of disease when compared to cultures that don't drink tea. One cup of green tea provides 10–40 mg of polyphenols (antioxidants), and the health effects are greater than a serving of broccoli, spinach, carrots or strawberries. The high antioxidant activity of green tea The good news is that drinking just about any type of tea can give your body a good dose of anti-oxidants. While green tea is probably the most potent tea anti-oxidant, white tea and oolong tea are not far behind. Experiment with different types of tea and see what flavor appeals to you. My favorite way of getting in my "tea" antioxidants is to drink a bottle of FUZE tea. The FUZE teas actually have higher levels of anti-oxidants than a brewed cup of tea. And quite honestly, a big mug of smokin' hot tea in August isn't something I'm going to drink on a daily basis. But kicking back, with an ice-cold oolong FUZE tea is something I can see myself doing. I love the idea of drinking something that tastes great and is doing good things on the inside!
