Spinach and Kryptonite
I was a big fan of cartoons when I was young. My favorite cartoons are the super-hero in the spotlight. What child does not like super-hero? They have super powers! I used to wonder if I would have super powers when I was All Grown Up. After years of research, I discovered that I had at least one super power…. And it is also true!

I had two super-hero preferred more and more. The first was Superman. Each boy loved Superman. Why not? It was faster than the speed a ball. It could jump tall buildings in a single bound. Everything about the man is bulletproof… arms, legs, chest, cap. He had only one weakness… Kryptonite. Kryptonite was the cornerstone of origin of Superman on the planet Krypton who made him weak, while he was powerless in his presence. If he has been exposed to far too long, he would die. However, in all others, Superman was extraordinary.

My other favorite super-hero was Popeye the Sailor Man. It was an "every man" super-hero. It is equally regular Superman was extraordinary. In fact, the limit of Popeye was pitiful. Popeye had only one good eye. It was not larger than 4 feet on three. His neck was thin as a pile of dimes. In fact, his whole body was thin except those forearms, of course. But there was a time when Popeye was extraordinary… after he ate his spinach. After Popeye had eaten his spinach, he could do anything! I used to wonder if I would one day be powerful as Superman or Popeye.

Like many of us, I stopped watching my super-hero comic book as I got older. The cartoons are nothing like "real life", I thought. In real life, The Bad Guy wins all the time. In real life, bad things happen to good people. Linger problems. They are not determined to put 5 or 10 minute. If you spend too much time to reflect on the enormity of the world, you may well feel like a super hero. Impuissants. At that point I had almost ceased to believe in super-powers entirely I realized, almost by chance, I had a super power. And it has changed the way I see the world.

My "aha" moment has come that I was having dinner with a friend several years ago. She was depressed and she confided in me, sharing all the things that went wrong in his life. It was overloaded, underpaid and not work. His personal life was no better. The young man in whom she was amorously interest… well, other interests. Nothing happened the way it had planned. It is disturbing that such me a grown-up: intelligent, talented and attractive this opinion about his life if I told him how intelligent, talented, and I thought she was interesting and that the world would soon see her as I did.

At that time, I saw a radical change in his behavior. His depression began to lift and she said something I will never forget. "I always feel better after talking to you." I realized I had a super power. I had the power to encourage. The power to change the way someone feels themselves… the impact that life in a positive way. I learned right then that I had super powers. For the world May I be one person, but to a person, I May to World. What power could be more super than that?

I became hooked, addicted, distribute around my power. I started to encourage other friends… and he felt good. I took my encouragement to work with me and I had more success… and it felt good. And a strange thing happened. The most encouraging, I have given more encouragement I have received in return and I became more powerful.

Then I won. I developed an alter ego. The world knew me as Brian McClellan, but I am regarded as SuperBAM. I would like to offer people a kind word faster than the speed a ball. I would like to help people leap tall buildings of negativity in a single bound. I would tell people to stand behind my cap. I was not bullets, but I was hat-proof. The vitriolic verbal bullets hate People could not penetrate me. I had the power! But I had this power throughout same as you.

We walk through life armed with spinach and Kryptonite. We have a choice whether we use our power for good or evil. We can use our power of encouragement to help someone who May be ordinary in almost every way to be as powerful as Popeye with a belly full of spinach. Or we can take someone who is extraordinary in almost every way and make them powerless, killing his or her dreams with a little wrong time, beyond words. Remember, the World May you be a person, but someone you May the world.

You have super power! You spinach and Kryptonite? Who gives you the world?
