Moving Wind-Down
Posted in: Media in amee's Blog

So, I finally have time to sit down, unwind, drink some tea, and unwind with endless lolcats and Youtube videos.

Luckily, there's some amusing stuff out there, including this great political stand-up boy named Doug Stanhope. You might have noticed already that I have a bit of a fetish for political irreverence and sarcasm, as well as a good sense of both liberal thinking and ironic fatalism.

Unfortunately, a lot of liberals / libertarians are all about a half-assed freedom that includes exactly what they, themselves, want to be able to do, and their reasoning tends to be in the same irrational vein as any other moralistic political group. Regardless, I'd rather vote one of them into office than the people currently in power.

You know, any of us can sit around and detail what we're against, but it's completely non-productive; being dissatisfied is a step towards changing things, but in and of itself, it doesn't do a whole lot. I think we'd all get a lot further if we could start talking about what we're for, and not in that obnoxious politically back-biting way.

So the wind-down has now turned into a politically reflective rant that highly suggests I need some beer now that it's 2:47am and all the shops have stopped serving ... ;)
