Transplanting my gardens
When we moved into our new house four years ago, I knew I would have lots of gardens to move. The owner had been elderly and the gardens were overgrown and out of control. Well each year I weeded and tried to get them under control. However until this year I never really made any big changes. One of my biggest problems was all the violets. They over grow everything. I hate them. I wish they would all magically disapear but they won't. I have pulled them up and I thought wow I am rid of them. No this was not the case. Even though I got all the little bulbs they still came back!

Well we decided to get rid of a sun room and make it a open porch off of the garage. The room had water damage and the windows all needed repair so this was the easiest thing and it looks a lot better. The gardens that ran along the front of the room are now useless. To use the porch you literally have to step over hostas etc. So today I moved four huge Hostas, many other bulb plants, lilies, and some stella doro's. I moved them to the bare front of the house. I worked all day on my own and have the front garden done. It took all day but I am very happy with the way it turned out.

The front garden BEFORE I began working on it, it looked dull and lifeless....
