My kids grew up with Legos. I think that the various Lego worlds were their favorite toys.
I remember a zoo that my oldest son built that was about 4 feet by 6 feet... It was totally amazing.... He was 4 years old.
His favorite sets were the Fabuland sets..... which no longer seem to be available.
When we found that they were getting scarce, we bought up all of them we could find so that there would be sets for him and for his little brother who had just been born.
Those Fabuland Legos gave many years of play to those boys. Fabuland was like a cartoon world populated by animal figures that were just a little larger and proportioned more like children than the regular lego people.
There was a bulldog mailman who was one of my favorites. And many different shops and businesses... so you could build a whole little city...
They were expensive... but then all Legos are expensive... I am so sorry that Lego no longer markets them. I see it as such a loss.... a loss for many generations to come....
We have all of the ones that were my sons' put up in storage... but many pieces were lost through the years and some were broken...
If you ever see any Fabuland Legos.... grab them... they are wonderful...
