Lately I have seen these phrases and ads for them and finally I got curious enough to check it out......

I am still a bit puzzled.......

These are programs that you can buy that will find friends for you on some of the social networking sites..... and add them to your friend list and add you to their list....  I guess it pretends to be you and signs you right up.

I just don't understand.   I am totally mystified that people will spend money for a program to add friends to their friends list...

If you have to use a robot friend finder or friend adder to get your friends... what good are they?  Am I missing something here?  Is there some advantage to having thousands of people on your friends list?

I am so confused....
