We have heard so much about the Smart car lately...  the long waiting list to get one....

I saw one today.  Parked in the parking lot at Costco....  

I was really shocked to see it.  It is so..... tiny.... like a golf cart.  It just looked lost in the parking space.... there amongst the SUV's and trucks...  This is Texas.... and we drive long distances and carry big loads in our vehicles....

And there in the midst of the herd was this fragile little thing... the Smart car.  I think I would not want to drive it out on the road.  It is just so small.  

I drive a Jeep Grand Cherokee... and it is a working vehicle... it carries a load and tows a trailer when necessary... It is a heavy 4 wheel drive truck.... I get 26 mpg sometimes 28.... so it is competitive gas wise with some of the newer cars... mine is old... a 93 with over a quarter of a million miles on it.... and think of a monent yesterday when the winds gusted over 70 mph and I had to struggle for control on the highway..... 

I think the little Smart Car would have just blown away.....
