Naked You are Pitching your business?
You are if you do not have a business plan first. Seriously: how can boil until the middle if you do not know what their basic strategy, such as his identity, market, and approach? In short, not every enterprise needs full formal plan, but each company needs a plan. Thinking and writing (not necessarily on paper, probably on a computer, but somewhere) of its central strategy, scenario, schedule revision, dates, deadlines, job responsibilities, and (here a pause for breath) business figures. Numbers of enterprises are the basic sales forecast, forecasting staffing costs, startup costs, and startup financing. Sure, 60 seconds of an elevator is a very short piece of information, but people are expected to provide important foundations. And if you think about it, even 60 seconds, how to find out how much money is necessary to make the core and the linking numbers at once. You can not just a peak without risking a follow-up question. What are you going to spend that money? How to value the company at this time? What is your exit strategy? What kind of returns can we talk? Take for example the question of how much money you need. That adds to their cost basis, subtract what you already have resources, then the sales and project costs and add what is going to take to cover expenses during the first months, when sales are starting. Or as another example, your target market. Can you describe your ideal customer and can be explained in a few seconds which is not their target market? What if you are not asked what are you doing?
