An exhaust system is vital to any vehicle, for they emit the exhaust gases created when the engine burns the fuel. Typical parts that make up the Saab exhaust is the manifold, which is an assembly designed to collect the exhaust gas from two or more cylinders into one pipe. After that is the header, which is an improved manifold. It is designed as a backup system, collecting the exhaust gases that the manifold did not collect. Lastly, are the Headers, which are steel pipes with bends and folds to direct the exhaust gases and allow them to arrive at the same time.

The exhaust gases then passes through the catalytic converter where it turns harmful gases into less harmful ones. The catalytic converter is made specifically to help the environment. It treats the exhaust before it leaves the car and removes a lot of the pollution. After that, the exhaust gas then goes to the muffler, which basically tones down the sound when the gas is emitted. The final stage will be the emission itself, which goes to the tailpipe. Saab exhaust may seem like a complicated system but in reality is actually quite simple. This basic system can change any vehicle's performance either for better or worse if not taken with proper care.
