How to Get Rid of Love Handles for Good

If you want to get rid of your love handles, then listen up. What I'm about to tell you is very simple and it is the truth!

Firstly, stop doing those 1000 side crunches every day, spot reduction just doesn't work. I don't care who has told you it does.

If you are serious about losing your love handles, you are going to need to lose some fat. And the best way to do this is to implement the "Holy Trinity" of weight loss.

1. Diet
Your diet is the number one factor in fat-loss. How strict you eat all depends on your goals. If you only need to lose a few pounds, then eating like a competitive bodybuilder is not necessary.

There's an old saying: How much you eat determines whether you gain or lose weight. What you eat determines what you gain or lose.

If you're looking to lose some weight, then you must cut your calories. Not to the point of starvation, but just so that you are burning more than you are consuming. The type of food is also very important. You need to cut out all highly processed foods and concentrate on eating more organic food. You may have heard of GI, but what I want you to consider when choosing food to eat is the HI, or Human Interference. You want to be choosing the foods with the least amount of Human Interference possible.

2. Cardio
Cardio comes in at a close second. In order to prevent your body from going into starvation mode, you will need to burn off the majority of your fat through exercise.

You don't need to jump on a treadmill for hours, there are plenty of things you can do to burn up the calories. If you are just starting out, walking can be beneficial, but if you are already reasonably fit, then you will need something a little more difficult.

The activity you choose doesn't really matter. What does matter is that you raise your heart rate for a reasonable amount of time. If you only go for a slow jog, then 20-30 minutes would be good, however, if you were doing some sprinting, anything over 10 minutes would be excessive.

The best way to go about cardio is to choose an activity that you actually like. Doing this will make it much easier to do. I personally hate running, so instead, I go down to the squash courts and have a hit for an hour. It's a great workout and I enjoy myself at the same time.

3. Weight Training
Weight training comes in at last place, although it is still a vital element of the Holy Trinity. If you're looking to lose weight then you may be wondering how this works. Doesn't weight training make you bigger? Well, that's exactly the point. The idea of weight training is to add lean muscle tissue. This is useful because muscle actually burns calories. So you burn extra calories even while you're sleeping.

So, in order to lose those love handles, implement the Holy Trinity and you can't go wrong!
