5 Ways to Burn Fat Faster 1. Eat more fiber Yes, eating and getting nourishment is necessary when you want to burn off those excess fats. Fat is not bad per se. The body needs it for fuel and energy. But excess fat is dangerous. Eating fiber helps “sweep” excess fat away. Foods rich in fiber help the body eliminate fast quickly. Some examples of fiber are oats and whole grain wheat. Green leafy salads are also good sources. 2. Do not starve, but do not over eat Starving the body will only do more harm than good. Starving will also sometimes lead to bingeing and overeating. When you are hungry, give yourself food to eat in order to ward off the hunger pangs. Being hungry is a way for the body to tell itself that it needs more energy to burn. But when you overeat and overstuff yourself with food, the body will have more fuel than it needs, so the surplus is stored as fat. Eat protein rich foods as these take the body longer to digest, making you feel full longer. Eat foods rich in carbohydrates as this will serve as fuel. However, stay away from empty carbs like sugar and flour as these are “empty carbs”. Eat lots of veggies and fruits as they contain essential vitamins and minerals that the body needs in order to function properly. 3. Build muscles Building muscles mean that you burn fat faster. Take a look at bodybuilders. These athletes have very little fat in their body because they have been replaced with muscles. Bodybuilders also have the tendency to lose fat faster because of their weight training exercises and their consumption of protein rich foods. 4. Do not eat before going to bed Some people like to have a midnight snack before heading to bed. Remember when the body sleeps it is virtually motionless and being motionless consumes very little calories and energy, so the food you eat before sleeping will be stored and not burned off. 5. Burn fat with exercise When you move you burn fat. What better way to move than to do some cardio exercises or by hitting the gym. It does not matter if you are weight training or doing aerobics. Any action that expends energy burns calories and fat so get you body in shape by moving your body!
