Interlinking your blog posts to new and old posts that are relevant, just helps your readers, but also helps to identify relevant posts to spider for the search engines to index better by linking to useful internal content on your sites blog just works well for you.

Writing the best content you can, by writing good quality content you are aiming your article blog posts at your readers, but you are also providing them with a good resource library of relevant, targeted updated content for your niche.
