COOOOL!!!
Microsoft® Windows Mobile® 5.0 Pocket PC Phone Edition
From Malaysia - Dallab

From thestar.com.my :

Dallab Sales and Marketing Sdn Bhd recently launched a made-in-Malaysia PDA phone called the Dallab DX8i.

The quad-band PDA phone is housed in an elegant body made of metal, chrome and plastic, and is available in silver or black.

Dubbed a mini pocket PC, the DX8i is a full-fledged PDA that runs on Microsoft's Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC Phone Edition operating system. It's also one of the few that uses a alphanumeric keypad instead of a bulky Qwerty keyboard. And of course, it has a touch-screen interface with a stylus too. img

And with a fastest-in-its-class 416MHz Intel XScale processor, it's powerful enough for both work and play – be it writing documents, web browsing, watching movies or playing games.

The DX8i is great to look at too, thanks to its vibrant 2.2in LCD screen that's capable of producing 262,000 colours at a resolution of 320 x 240pixels, which results in crisp text and sharp pictures on screen.

The phone's 3-megapixel camera means that you can snap highly detailed photos too.

Although the DX8i only has GPRS/EDGE data connectivity, the DX8i also has built-in WiFi adaptor that allows it connect to WiFi hotspots and home/office wireless networks, should you need a faster Internet connection.

Dallab claims the phone has a maximum talk time of four hours and a maximum standby time of 150 hours.

The Dallab DX8i costs RM1,888, which puts it in the same league as other high-end smartphones and PDA phones.

The Dallab DX8i was co-developed by Dallab's design centres in Singapore, United States and Malaysia. It is manufactured locally. – CHRIS CHONG
