There are countless ways to make money from affiliate programs, but one of the best ways to rake in consistent paychecks is from niche blogging. This is one of the easiest ways to get started in affiliate marketing. It's free, low-risk, and doesn't take much time to get started with.

What you need to do first is find an affiliate program to promote. The usual suspects for finding high converting affiliate programs are Clickbank.com, Linkshare.com and CommissionJunction.com. Personally, I always go for affiliate programs from Clickbank because the commissions are higher and they consist of digital products, which are delivered instantly to the customer, offering the lure of 'instant gratification'.

Once you have found an affiliate program that you like, it's time to create your blog. There are two choices here - Wordpress and Blogger. Wordpress seems to have better clout with the search engines these days in terms of search engine positioning, but Blogger is the easier of the two to get started with. If you like plenty of customization options, then Wordpress is the way to go.

Now it's time for your content. There are two ways you can go about creating your content - you can post general content about your niche and recommend your affiliate product, or write a review of the affiliate product. The second method is more targeted but the first method might bring you more visitors from the search engines because it is more general in nature. Having said that, you can combine both content styles as well to maximize your profits.
