Picture No. 1 - What Happens in Acne
As you can see on the first picture, with the description of 'What Happens in Acne' it clearly explains the entire process on how this disorder developed.
There are many factors to consider, to produce the disorder, and most of these factors commonly occuring in the developing human body during puberty state or adolescence, where hormonal changes occurs during this stage.
During hormonal changes, hormone may rise and fall during this particular stage, and secretion processes of the sebaceous glands are directly affected by this hormonal changes. One hormone that is produce or has been increased during this stage is the so called androgens. Androgens then activates the sebaceous glands to further produce large amounts of sebum.
Bacteria that is present in our environment interacts with the sebum to form fatty acids and thus inflammatory responses occurs in the pilosebaceous units. There will be hyperkeratinazation happens in the follicle's lining. When this follicle lining breaks, the sebum, the lipids and the keratin enters the dermis layer of the skin.
The very final stage of the development of Acne is the formation of foreign bodies as a response to the occuring changes. It includes; papule, pustule, and nodule formation.
Two tendencies might happens, it's either the dermis layer of the skin heals with the ability of our own tissues to repair itself, this tendency will not leave a scar or mark. While on the other hand the other tendency is when it ruptures and inflammation happens because of bacterias that infects it, aftewards scars are left behind. This second tendency is the worse part of the acne development.
