Exercise Tips - Fool your Mind into Regular Exercise Exercise Tips - Fool your Mind into Regular Exercise by Emily Spaulding

Exercise has a lot of great benefits for your mind and body. Some people think of exercise and immediately after are in a bad mood. What most people don't realize though, is you don't have to go through torturous sessions of sweating and feeling horrible to reap the benefits of regular activity. Research proves that any amount of exercise at any age is beneficial. The more you do the greater the benefits. After researching this I decided to test the theory.

So, I started adding extra exercise throughout the day. During lunch I would walk to get something to eat and instead of taking the elevator, I took the steps, I'll just use these two changes for examples. After I started this I started feeling better mentally and physically. I then decided if I felt good just doing that little bit, why not start going to the gym. This has totally changed my attitude about exercising because now I love to do it, it makes me feel better in many different ways.

Research tells me why. While exercising, your body releases chemicals called endorphins that improve mood and the way you feel about yourself. So, if you have a problem with depression or low self-esteem, exercise definitely helps this. After exercising you often feel euphoric and have an energized outlook.

Not only does exercise help psychologically but it also reduces the risk of stroke, heart disease, and high blood pressure. I had high blood pressure and was actually on a medication to lower blood pressure and elevate mood, after I started my daily routine with more activity I realized I did not need that at all.

It is amazing how much better you will feel with just adding a few activities into your day. Why put off feeling good for any longer? Start today.
