War In Afghanistan by Lane Roberts

It's not just the totally failed, lost, unjustified and illegal war in Iraq. Remember the folks still fighting five years on in Afghanistan? Seldom is any attention given to the fact that the Taliban is running the country again. Iraq: Mission Accomplished, and three years later tens of thousands more dead, innocent people, and for what? Mission Failed. Afghanistan: Lots of attention given back in the day to having overthrown the Taliban. Of course the guy we were after still hasn't been caught, is apparently smarter than we are, but hey, the Taliban was gone, so all was well. Folks, we're failing there just as much as in Iraq. The Taliban regime's tactics that, after they were 'overthrown', got so much attention, and the atrocities the media constantly showed - public executions, et al., are back. And nobody seems to know. Read this article, because you have to look outside of the U.S. media propoganda to get at least some half-way decent information.

The Taliban in Afghanistan have used a boy of around 12 to behead a man they accused of spying for the US.

This administration is failing miserably on all fronts. Looking forward to January '09.
